Alpha Academy Tries To Earn A Spot At NXT Stand & Deliver, Shawn Spears Bout, More Set For 3/26 NXT
The card for the March 26 episode of WWE NXT is taking shape.
With NXT Stand & Deliver two weeks away, there are still a handful of superstars looking to earn their spots on WrestleMania weekend.
Alpha Academy’s Otis and Akira Tozawa, along with Maxxine Dupri, came to WWE NXT on March 19 to challenge the current NXT Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin. Should they win the tag team match on the March 26 episode of WWE NXT, Otis and Tozawa will become the first team to qualify for the Tag Team Championship match at NXT Stand & Deliver, making the match a Triple Threat.
Also set for March 26, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo will go one-on-one with NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov in an attempt to soften the champion up prior to his title defense against Tony D’Angelo at NXT Stand & Deliver.
There will also be an NXT Prime Target segment chronicling and analyzing the rivalry between Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams.
Plus, the NXT North American Title picture will heat up. NXT GM Ava has set up a handful of matches that, she says, could have implications on the NXT North American Championship match at NXT Stand & Deliver.
Two of these matches will take place on March 26. First, Josh Briggs will take on Duke Hudson. Then, Dijak will do battle with Shawn Spears.
Rounding out the card, Thea Hail will take on the debuting Jazmyn Nyx. Hail was upset after Nyx cost Riley Osbourne his opportunity to become NXT Heritage Cup Champion on March 19.
