Alexa Bliss And Nikki Cross Got Help And Permission From D-Von Dudley To Do Modified 3-D Finisher
Since becoming a tag team, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have adopted a lifting DDT finisher to put opponents away.
Appearing on Table Talk with D-Von Dudley, it was revealed that D-Von was the one who helped them with the finisher as they wanted to pay tribute to him and Bubba.
“Alexa and Nikki are doing a form of 3D and it was all in honor of me and Bubba for what we’ve done. They came to me and asked me. I said, ‘absolutely, by all means, it would be an honor if you two will do that.’ My two favorites are Nikki and Alexa. It was an honor and a privilege to see them do that, thank you for the tribute to me and Bubba. I would not have anyone else do it,” said D-Von.
Nikki added, “We always would have asked you. We never would have done it without your blessing. It’s fun because we do it a little differently and a huge part in helping develop that technique was D-Von. We put that together at the Performance Center. We try not to take from the original.”
D-Von went on to say that if he were to come out of retirement, it would be to team with Alexa and Nikki in a six-person tag team match. D-Von also took jokingly credit for helping Alexa and Nikki win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, referring to himself as the manager of the duo.
Alexa and Nikki have been involved in more singles action as of late with Nikki recently challenging for the SmackDown Women’s Title and Alexa being courted by ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt.
