Alex Kane Says He Is Leaving American Top Team, Is Working On Creating His Own Fight Team
During the 2021 MLW Open Draft, Alex Kane was drafted to American Top Team.
Kane, nicknamed “The Suplex Assassin,” joined King Mo as a member of ATT and MLW. ATT and AEW have struck a recent partnership with ATT owner Dan Lambert regularly appearing on AEW television and fighters such as Junior dos Santos and Jorge Masvidal getting involved in the action.
Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, Kane shared that his time with ATT is reaching its end. He said the following:
“So, actually, I am leaving American Top Team. I feel like I can — I mean, I’ve gotten where I’ve gotten doing it myself. Yes, I have Mo and I have Mr. Thomas but I’ve been able to carve this path for myself and Dan Lambert hasn’t really been around mentoring me in any way possible because he’s been off doing other things. So I’m actually going to leave American Top Team and I am in the works of creating my own fight team.”
At the recent MLW Fusion on Thanksgiving, Kane won a ladder match to win the vacant National Openweight Championship. Learn more here.
During a recent interview, Kane shared that Dan Lambert negotiated his deal with MLW. Learn more here.
