Alex Kane A Big Part Of MLW Plans, Updated On CONTRA

Alex Kane has made quite the impression in MLW.

Fightful Select has learned the plan for Alex Kane to win National Openweight championship was set in September. He was said to have impressed at MLW’s CourtBauer at Battle Riot and they’re high on him, as displayed by his booking. The Thanksgiving episode of Fusion was designed to give Alex Kane and Calvin Tankman a strong focus for their feud. It will be a big part of the first part of MLW’s 2022.

It wasn’t all smooth though. When Kane and Mr. Thomas ran in on the finish of the TJP/ Calvin Tankman match, Tankman accidentally found himself way too close to the referee. Everyone was stuck in an awkward spot and tried to make the best of being close to the ref. They were supposed to be all on the other side of the ring. There doesn’t seem to be any issue or heat from the spot.

Fightful also learned that CONTRA has been shelved as a group for now.
