Alex Hammerstone Confirms That He Has Finished Up With MLW, Set To Hit Free Agency On January 1
Alex Hammerstone will be a free agent in 2024.
On Friday, December 8, Hammerstone took to social media and announced that he has finished up with MLW, as his last event for the company was the ‘One Shot’ event on December 7. The star also revealed that he will officially be a free agent on January 1.
Last night was my last event under my current contract.
January 1st I will officially be a free agent.

On November 21, Fightful Select lent some truth to Hammerstone’s comments about doing a short-term angle with the World Titan Federation to secure his actual release from the company.
Hammerstone first joined MLW back in 2019, where he joined the faction known as ‘The Dynasty’ alongside MJF and Richard Holliday. As the years passed, Hammerstone’s popularity continued to grow and grow, and he was positioned as one of the top stars in the company. In 2021, Hammerstone won the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. He held the belt for 644 days before dropping it to Alex Kane at the ‘Never Say Never’ event in July 2023.
