Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez Signs With All Elite Wrestling
Another announcer added to the AEW roster.
Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez announced that he has signed with All Elite Wrestling. ‘Goldenboy’ served as one of the announcers for AEW Fyter Fest and also did commentary work for NBC’s The Titan Games. He is best known for his commentary for various eSports events including Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch League, Epic Games’ “Fortnite Battle Royale,” Cheddar TV, TBS’s ELEAGUE, Major League Gaming (MLG), Psyonix’s Rocket League Championship Series, 343 Industries’s Halo Championship Series and Electronic Arts’ “Battlefield”

It is unknown what role Mendez will serve in AEW. Alex Marvez, Excalibur, and Jim Ross are expected to serve as the primary three-person booth for big AEW events and AEW on TNT.
The promotion recently signed former WCW announcer Tony Schiavone, who had done studio work for AEW, appearing in previous editions of Road To specials.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that the company has also reached out to former WCW and IMPACT announcer Mike Tenay.
