AJ Styles vs. Cody Rhodes For WWE Title Set For WWE Backlash 2024

The WWE Championship match for WWE Backlash 2024 is set. 

AJ Styles defeated LA Knight to advance to WWE Backlash where he will face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship, Styles avenged his WrestleMania defeat on the April 19 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Styles got the win after nailing Knight with his signature Phenomenal Forearm. 

Styles advanced to this match by defeating Kevin Owens and Rey Mysterio on the April 12 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

Now, Styles will have the honor of being Cody Rhodes’ first challenger for the WWE Championship since Cody defeated Roman Reigns for the title at WrestleMania XL.
