AJ Styles Says Talents From NXT Are Welcomed To Come Challenge Him, Speaks On Jeff Jarrett’s HOF Induction, More
AJ Styles is ready to show the world why he is the man.
Ahead of his WWE Championship title defense at WrestleMania 34 in two weeks, "The Phenomenal One" AJ Styles spoke with the Times Of India to promote the event. AJ will be stepping into the ring with the man who bested him two years ago for the IWGP Intercontinental Title, and Styles is looking for redemption, but is also looking to steal the show considering the uncertainty of what match will headline the event.
"I was very excited that Nakamura won the Royal Rumble and I had to make sure I didn't lose the championship for him and to get back in the ring one on one; give WWE Universe what they want to see. As far as the main event goes, I will tell you which match is going to steal the show. We are going to tear the house down, we have the talent to do that, I think that is what people expect, even if it is not a main event match, it will be the main event match," said Styles.
There is a plethora of talent that Styles has not had the opportunity to work in the WWE. Primarily, those stars are a part of the NXT brand, but Styles is not backing down from any challenge as he welcomes them all to come and step up to "The Face That Runs The Place".
"I think if these kids want to get come up and a get a piece of AJ Styles they are more than welcome to try. I will take on everybody and I'm WWE Champion, and I am a fighting Champion; line them up and I will knock them down."
AJ's former boss Jeff Jarrett will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame on April 6th. Jarrett has spoken very highly of Styles in the past, as at one point Styles was dubbed "Mr. TNA" for being the flag bearer of company throughout the years. Styles shared that he thinks Jarrett's WWE Hall Of Fame induction is long overdue.
"I think it is great that Jeff is in the Hall of Fame. It is long overdue and he has done a lot of work in entertainment business and the fact that he finally made it to the HOF is really exciting."
