AJ Styles Pulled From Live Event, Addresses Injury
Despite a hope that Styles wouldn't miss any significant time in the ring due to a recent ankle injury, he has been pulled from live events until after Christmas.
Styles has been removed from all WWE live events until the Madison Square Garden show on December 26, which would give him three weeks of rest before returning. That's also slated to be John Cena's WWE return.
Styles has been set to face James Ellsworth for the last three weeks for the WWE Championship, but now also owes Dolph Ziggler a championship match. Styles addressed the situation on Tuesday night's Talking Smack.
"Health-wise I'm ready to rock, I was ready to go with Ellsworth tonight and then he got sick," Styles said in regards to his injury. "I'm ready to go. I can go."
Styles is planned to return at the December 26 show against John Cena and Dean Ambrose.
