AJ Styles & Jeff Jarrett Reunite, “Augmented Reality” Experience In The Works For WrestleMania 34, Michelle McCool-The Undertaker, More
Here's your Fight Size wrestling Update for the morning of April 4th, 2018.
– Last night's SmackDown was live was in Nashville, TN which is the hometown of 2018 WWE Hall Of Fame inductee Jeff Jarrett. A resident of the blue-brand is the current WWE Champion AJ Styles who was a focal point in TNA which Jarrett co-founded. The two men stopped past each other backstage and it was caught on camera which made for a feel good moment.
– While John Cena was busy calling The Undertaker out on Monday Night RAW, The Undertaker was enjoying himself according to his wife and former two-time WWE Women's Champion Michelle McCool.
– RAW GM Kurt Angle had his theme song played by a brass band in New Orleans. Fellow WWE superstars had the same opportunity to hear their theme songs played as well. Head over to WWE's YouTube channel to view the amazing performances.
– Whomever is in control of Impact Wrestling's Twitter account took a shot at WWE recently. WWE is often criticized for their constant camera cuts. One of the people who feel that the WWE's camera cuts can be a bit much is the individual behind the Impact Wrestling Twitter account.
– There is an article up on AnsonRecord.com which provides some details on the 'Andre The Giant' documentary which airs on HBO in six days. The wife of a former pro wrestler described the film and provided some notes about it before it becomes available to the public on April 10th.
– WWE Exec VP/Digital and Social Content Jayar Donlan spoke with Sports Business Daily and revealed that there is a virtual reality experience coming in the works for fans who will not be attending WrestleMania 34. The following is an excerpt from the interview:
"We are going to have some augmented reality experiences with WWE superstars. We are going to be having a lot of live look-ins with one of our popular shows, “WWE Now.” We’ll have original content like video diaries. We’ve even had an alligator predict WrestleMania matches. One of the bigger things we’re doing is our new partnership with NextVR — we are going to be creating WrestleMania virtual reality content, which will be sponsored by Snickers, at the WrestleMania Axxess fan festival."
– This Saturday at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, Tommaso Ciampa is looking to get rid of Johnny Gargano. If Ciampa is not able to do so, Gargano will earn his spot back on the roster. Ciampa is already thinking past that though as he reached out to the founder and senior producer of NXT Triple H about getting a shot at the newly revealed NXT North American Championship after a champion is crowned on April 7th.
