AJ Styles On Hornswoggle Being The Weenomenal One: If You Can Make Money, Go For It

On the November 24 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Karl Anderson promised a “phenomenal opponent” for Ethan Page.

The familiar IMPACT theme of AJ Styles played as commentary wondered, “could it be?”

It was not. Hornswoggle, who bears a striking similarity to AJ Styles, entered the IMPACT Zone as the Weenomenal One.

Fightful Select reported after the segment that Styles didn’t know the segment was happening.

Speaking to Bleacher Report, Styles weighed in on the mini-swerve.

“I didn’t see it, but I saw pictures. Hilarious. Good for him. The Weenomenal One is hilarious to me, so if he’s able to make a little money off The Weenomenal One, then go for it,” he said.

Hornswoggle would pin Page in the bout.

Elsewhere during the interview, Styles discussed his relationship with his Bullet Club mates Anderson and Doc Gallows, and why the trio worked so well together.

“It’s one of those things where it’s like, ‘How did this get over so well?'” Styles said. “It’s because you had guys that genuinely wanted to hang out together. We weren’t just together when it came to wrestling. We were together outside of the wrestling ring, too. We were actually hanging out, and I think that’s why it worked so well for us at that time. We all hang out together, so seeing those guys, I’m happy for them. It’s cool they’re able to continue what they started, whenever it was.”

Anderson and Gallows reunited with another Bullet Club friend recently, joining Kenny Omega in AEW to reform The Bullet Club Elite alongside the Young Bucks.

Gallows and Anderson teamed with Omega at IMPACT Hard to Kill to defeat the trio of Rich Swann, Chris Sabin, and Moose.
