AJ Styles Confirms Fightful Report That He Didn’t Sustain A Hernia
AJ Styles sets the record straight.
On Tuesday morning, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that AJ Styles suffered a hernia that kept him off live events over the weekend. Styles appeared during the main event segment of SmackDown Live, getting physical during a brawl with his Elimination Chamber opponents.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp said on the post-SmackDown podcast, “I was told people backstage didn’t hear of AJ Styles sustaining any type of a hernia or anything like that.”
On Wednesday afternoon, Styles took to social media to shut down the report of him suffering a hernia.
Yeah, about that. I don’t have a hernia. — https://t.co/ilqge7BlZw

Styles is scheduled to appear at live events this upcoming weekend. He’s also scheduled to compete against Samoa Joe, Mustafa Ali, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, and Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title inside the Elimination Chamber on Feb. 17.
