AEW Re-Ups Promotional Material For MJF vs. Wardlow At Double Or Nothing 2022 From Social Media

Maxwell Jacob Friedman is the talk of the town going into AEW Double or Nothing 2022. While that has been the case going into a lot of AEW pay-per-view events, this time around it’s not for anything that’s happened in front of the camera.

MJF no-showed his meet and greet at AEW Fan Fest on Saturday, May 28. Later, our premium service, Fightful Select reported that tensions between Max and AEW were rising and that there was a flight booked for MJF to leave Las Vegas, Nevada, altogether, but it was uncertain if he was on the flight.

On Sunday, while AEW’s social media accounts were promoting the match via a YouTube video package and the standard match graphics on Twitter, all content promoting the match has since been made unavailable to the public ahead of tonight’s show.

Later on Sunday evening, the video was added back to YouTube. Fans can watch the video by clicking here.

A report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider notes that Maxwell hadn’t been seen backstage at the pay-per-view on Sunday afternoon.

Fight for selected also has more information on the matter and we will continue to report on this topic as more information is made available.

We will, of course, have live coverage of AEW Double or Nothing as it happens and a post-show breaking down all the action.
