Hair vs. Hair Match: Chris Jericho vs. Ortiz
With everyone’s allies brawling outside the ring, Fuego Del Sol came into the ring and hit Ortiz with a bat, allowing Jericho to pick up the win. It was then revealed to be Sammy Guevara under a mask, reuniting with Jericho.
Result: Chris Jericho defeated Ortiz
20-on-1 Handicap Elimination Match: Wardlow vs. The Plaintiffs
Wardlow took very little time eliminating all 20 plaintiffs, having the case dismissed. After the match, Dan Lambert told Matt Hughes and Tyron Woodley to get in the ring and take out the trash. He was upset about Wardlow targeting Mark Sterling. Wardlow asked why they were taking orders from Lambert, to which they agreed, throwing Sterling into a powerbomb of his own.
Result: Wardlow defeated The Plaintiffs
Will Ospreay vs. Dax Harwood
It was a hard-fought encounter, but Ospreay emerged victoriously after hitting a Liger Bomb, OsCutter, and shot to the back of the head. After the bell, United Empire came out and fought with Best Friends, but were chased away by Orange Cassidy, who went face-to-face with Ospreay.
Result: Will Ospreay defeated Dax Harwood
Jon Moxley & Hiroshi Tanahashi Face-To-Face
Moxley says he has been chasing Tanahashi for a long time. He says all his work with NJPW has always been about Tanahashi. Moxley believes he is the best pro wrestler on this planet and they won’t be calling Tanahashi Ace much longer. Says when the dust settles at Forbidden Door, Tanahashi will call Moxley Ace.
Jericho then came out with Sammy and Tay Conti, saying this is his spot. Tanahashi then told Jericho to shut up. Lance Archer and Desperado, along with the Jericho Appreciation Society proceeded to attack Tanahashi and Moxley. Jericho then confirmed that Tay and Sammy are part of Jericho Appreciation Society.
– There was a video package highlighting the feud between Darby Allin and Kyle O’Reilly. Bobby Fish is set to face Darby Allin in a match on the 6/17/2022 edition of AEW Rampage.
– Prior to her match against Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, Toni Storm was interviewed by Tony Schiavone. Storm said that she will take the AEW Women’s Division to the level it should be.
AEW All Atlantic Championship Qualifier
Ethan Page (w/ Dan Lambert) vs Miro.
Page tossed Miro’s left shoulder on the stairs twice. Page hit a top-rope shoulder tackle for the count of one. Page hit a rope-assisted cutter on Miro for a near fall. Page told Miro to pray for him, but Miro responded with two overhead suplexes and a leg lariat. Dan Lambert tried to distract Miro, but go punched right in the mouth. Miro hit a mule kick followed by the Game Over fo the submission win, qualifying for the All Atlantic Championship Finals on Forbidden Door.
Winner: Miro.
– Dante Martin and Matt Sydal cut a promo, saying that a new star will be born on the 6/17/2022 edition of Rampage when he faces Jon Moxley.
Dr. Britt Baker, DMD (w/ Jamie Hayter & Reba) vs Toni Storm
Storm hit a tornado DDT on Baker in the ring. Storm hit a Tornado DDT on Baker from the apron to the floor. Reba tried to give Baker a black glove, but Storm caught her a German Suplex on Baker followed by a Hip Attack. Storm tried to hit Storm with a Piledriver, but Baker was in spaghetti legs. Baker got Storm in a roll-up for a near fall, followed by a neck breaker for a near fall. Baker went for the Lockjaw, but Storm reversed it into a pin attempt for a near fall. Storm hit Storm Zero for the pinfall win. AEW Women’s Champion, Thunder Rosa, came to the ramp and pointed at Storm, teasing a possible feud against Storm.
Winner: Toni Storm.
– Stokely Hathaway revealed that TBS Champion, Jade Cargill, issued an open challenge for her title for the 6/17/2022 edition of Rampage. Former Ring Of Honor alumni, Willow Nightingale, accepted the open challenge.
Hangman Speaks
“Hangman” Adam Page came to the ring to cut a promo, calling himself a dumbass for not thinking Kazuchika Okada could lose the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Adam Cole interrupted Page, calling him an idiot. Cole stated that Kazuchika Okada would not be present for the 6/26/2022 pay-per-view “Forbidden Door”. IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Jay White, hit the Blade Runner on Page from behind. White cut a promo on Page, saying that he and Cole did not call the shots for his championship.
AEW Tag Team Championship – Ladder Match
The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) (w/ Brandon Cutler) vs Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) (w/ Christian Cage) (c)
The Young Bucks supperkicked Jungle Boy while he went for a moonsault. Luchasaurus choke slammed Matt Jackson before choke slamming Nick onto a ladder. Luchasarus hit a middle-rope moonsault on The Young Bucks to the outside of the ring. Luchasaurus claimed the ladder while havingMatt Jackson on his back, but Nick neutralized him. The four got to the ladders and exchanged strikes. Matt & Nick powerbombed Luchasaurus on a ladder. Nick hit a poison rana on Jungle Boy. Matt hit an elbow drop on Luchasaurus onto a table out of the ring. Jungle Boy hit a German Suplex on Nick Jackson. Matt tried to climb the ladder, but Jungle Boy caught him and hit a German Suplex. The Young Bucks and Jungle Boy climbed the ladders, but they pushed each other on the top rope. Luchasaurus tried to climb the ladder, but The Young Bucks pushed him off the ladder onto a stack of tables. Jungle Boy tried to climb the ladder, but The Young Bucks dropped him down and hit him with the BTE Trigger. The Young Bucks climbed the ladder and retrieved the titles, becoming the new and first-ever two-time AEW Tag Team Champions.
Winners & New AEW Tag Team Champions: The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson).
– After the match, Christian Cage attacked an injured Jungle Boy, hitting him with the Killswitch. Cage got a pair of chairs and hit Jungle boy with a Con-Chair-To. Cage stood over Jungle Boy to end the show.
