AEW Dynamite, NXT Viewership Goes Down For 10/21
AEW and NXT saw viewership went down this week.
According to numbers released by Showbuzz Daily, the October 21 episode of AEW Dynamite drew 753,000 viewers, which is down from last week’s 826,000 viewers. NXT, on the other hand, drew 644,000 viewers, which is slightly down from the 651,000 viewers the October 7 episode drew.
In the 18-49 demographic, AEW Dynamite this week drew a 0.30 rating, which is 13th best among original cable telecasts for the day, and the same as last week’s rating. It was more than NXT’s 0.16 rating in that same demo, which was 56th best on cable and down from last week’s 0.17 rating.
This week’s Dynamite saw all four matches of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament take place with Kenny Omega, Rey Fenix, Hangman Page and Wardlow picking up victories. In addition, MJF and Chris Jericho do a musical number during dinner.
NXT this week was the go-home show for Halloween Havoc taking place on October 28. The main event of the show saw Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch defeat Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango) to win the NXT Tag Team Championship with Pat McAfee returning to form a stable with the new champions.
