AEW Dynamite & NXT Viewership Down For 4/1; AEW Outdraws NXT



Viewership numbers for both AEW Dynamite and NXT went down this week.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the April 1 episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 685,000 viewers and drew a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Both numbers are down from the week prior, which averaged 819,000 viewers and a 0.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

As for NXT, the April 1 episode averaged 590,000 viewers and drew a 0.15 rating in the aforementioned demo. As with AEW, NXT’s television numbers this week are down from last week’s show as the March 25 episode averaged 669,000 and drew a 0.20 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Dynamite kicked off with Kenny Omega facing Trent and a face-off between AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and Jake Hager. The show was headlined by a tag team match between the team of Cody & Darby Allin and the team of Shawn Spears & Sammy Guevara in a matchup of wrestlers competing in the upcoming TNT Title Tournament.

NXT saw Dakota Kai win a gauntlet match to fill the last spot in the ladder match to crown a new No. 1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship. The main event saw Keith Lee successfully retain his NXT North American Championship by winning a triple threat match that involved Dominik Dijakovic and Damian Priest.
