AEW Dynamite & NXT Viewership, Ratings Up For 6/17

AEW Dynamite and NXT this week drew nearly identical viewership numbers.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the June 17 episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 772,000 viewers, up from last week’s 677,000 viewers. NXT, on the other hand, averaged 746,000 viewers, which is also up from last week’s 673,000 viewers.

In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite came out on top against NXT with a 0.28 rating, which is up from last week’s 0.23 rating in that same demographic and eighth best on cable for the day. NXT drew a 0.20 rating, 25th best on cable for the day and up from last week’s 0.16 rating.

NXT featured not one, but two tag team title matches. The show opened with Imperium defending the NXT Tag Team titles against Breezango while the main event saw WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks & Bayley defend their titles against Shotzi Blackheart & Tegan Nox. The show also saw the announcement of a Winner Take All match for both the NXT and North American Championship set for next month.

AEW Dynamite also featured a pair of title matches. The first one was for the AEW World Tag Team titles as Kenny Omega & Hangman Page defended the titles against The Natural Nightmares. In addition, Cody defended the TNT Championship against Ricky Starks. Also, more matches were added to the upcoming Fyter Fest event taking place on the July 1 and July 8 episodes of Dynamite.
