AEW Dynamite Narrowly Beats NXT In Viewership For 12/4

After two weeks of NXT drawing higher viewership numbers than AEW Dynamite, AEW bounced back with a narrow victory.

According to Showbuzz Daily, the December 4 episode of Dynamite averaged 851,000 viewers, just six thousand more than NXT, which did 845,000 viewers. Both of those numbers are higher than what each show drew the week prior, which took place the day before Thanksgiving. For that week, AEW averaged 663,000 viewers while NXT drew 810,000 viewers.

In the 18-49 demographic, AEW continues to be ahead of NXT, drawing a 0.32 rating (good for eighth on cable for the day) to NXT’s 0.29 rating (12th best on cable for the day.) Those two numbers also are higher than the previous week.

On Dynamite, there were several matches that took place, including Jon Moxley vs. Joey Janela, Hikaru Shida vs. Kris Statlander, Trent vs. Fenix and more. The show also saw Chris Jericho reveal his “Lexicon of Le Champion.”

Over on NXT, Killian Dain scored a pinfall victory over Pete Dunne, Matt Riddle picking up yet another victory over Kassius Ohno and the team of Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic and Tommaso Ciampa beating Undisputed Era. The show also featured the return of KUSHIDA.
