AEW Dynamite And NXT Viewership Down On 3/31/21, NXT Demo Way Up
As the Wednesday Night War comes to a close, the numbers for AEW Dynamite and NXT get closer.
ShowBuzzDaily reports AEW Dynamite drew 700,000 viewers on March 31. This number is down from last week’s viewership total of 757,000 viewers. The 18 to 49 demographic number was also down as they drew a 0.26 rating in the demographic compared to a 0.30 rating last Wednesday.
As for NXT, their viewership number clocked in at 654,000 viewers, which is down from last week’s number of 678,000 viewers. However, the 18 to 49 demographic rating was up big for NXT as they produced a 0.21 rating in the demographic compared to last week’s number of 0.14.
AEW ranked seventh among cable originals while NXT ranked twelfth. The night was won by The Challenge on MVT, which produced 913,000 viewers and a 0.52 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.
Next week marks the final NXT on Wednesday night as they close out the Wednesday Night War era with night one of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. AEW Dynamite will be headlined by Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers taking on Jon Moxley & The Young Bucks.
