- AEW Interim Women’s World Championship Eliminator: Toni Storm (c) vs. Penelope Ford
- Best Friends (Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and Orange Cassidy) vs. Death Triangle (Pac, Penta Oscuro, and Rey Fenix)
- ROH Pure Championship: Wheeler Yuta (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
- Chris Jericho addresses AEW Universe
The show started with a pre-taped message from Tony Khan where he announced that he was vacating the Trios Tag Team Championships and the World Heavyweight Championship. A new World Champion will be crowned at Grand Slam. New Trios Champions will be crowned tonight.
– Maxwell Jacob Friedman addressed the audience initially saying that he was sorry for all of the offensive things he had said and promised to be a leader moving forward. Jon Moxley comes out to interrupt him. MJF drops the nice guy act and insinuates that he might take the world championship to WWE, referencing Triple H, Nick Khan, and Cody Rhodes in his promo talking about the bidding war of 2024. Moxley invites MJF to fight him right now, MJF runs away..
– Jon Moxley sticks around to talk about how much the world title means to him. He says he was supposed to be on vacation up until 2 days ago but now, he sees the opportunity to lead the team once again.
AEW World Trios Tag Team Championship: Best Friends (Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and Orange Cassidy) vs. Death Triangle (PAC, Penta Oscuro, and Rey Fenix)
– A back-and-forth match-up. At one point, Alex Abrahantes and Danhausen came face-to-face with Danhausen punching Alex in the balls. At one point, Death Triangle hit simultaneous superkicks and Canadian Destroyers. Death Triangle got the win after PAC hit Chuck Taylor with The Black Arrow.
Winners and new champions: Death Triangle by pinfall.
– Backstage, Jose The Assistant once again informed Preston Vance that Andrade wants Vance to come work for him. Dark Order declines on his behalf but Andrade hands Vance a new crutch.
AEW Interim Women’s World Championship Eliminator: Toni Storm (c) vs. Penelope Ford
Toni Storm wins her first match as interim Champion by countering a Northern Lights Suplex into a DDT.
Winner: Toni Storm by pinfall.
– A vignette recalled Action Bronson getting physical at All Out. Bronson noted that he would be in Arthur Ashe Stadium for Grand Slam.
– The Acclaimed come out with Billy Gunn. They are immediately interrupted by Swerve Strickland. Swerve says the idea of them as Tag Team Champions would be a joke. The acclaimed the upcoming rematch at Grand Slam
– Chris Jericho says he did what Ponce de Leon could not and found the Fountain of Youth. He says he will win the championship back because no one can take his locker room away from him. Sammy Guevara says he will beat Darby Allin in the tournament.
TNT Championship: Wardlow (c) vs. Tony Nese (w/ Smart Mark Sterling)
Wardlow quickly gets the win with the Powerbomb Symphony. After the match, Wardlow tries to powerbomb Mark Sterling but he gets pulled out by Josh Woods. Wardlow says he’s going to remind everyone why he is champion.
Winner and still champion: Wardlow by pinfall
AEW Grand Slam Tournament of Champions Wildcard Match: Hangman Page vs. Bryan Danielson
In the end, Page hit a moonsault from the top rope to the outside, and then set Danielson up for the Buckshot Lariat, but Danielson reversed into an O’Connor Roll with a bridge for the victory.
Winner: Bryan Danielson by pinfall.
– A Jungle Boy vignette airs. Jungle Boy says that Christian has to get surgery but when he comes back, he promises to take years off his miserable life. Jungle Boy says he carried Luchasaurus for several years and feels like an anchor has been lifted off of him.
– Stokely Hathaway comes out with his group. He does not address Maxwell Jacob Friedman. A stagehand tries to tell him that they are short on time and to cut his promo. The group then takes out the stagehand.
ROH Pure Championship: Wheeler Yuta (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
Daniel Garcia was played to the ring by Westside Gunn. a very back-and-forth match that saw Wheeler Yuta uncharacteristically play the heel. In the end, Garcia got the victory with the Dragon Tamer submission hold. Bryan Danielson would come out to strap the Pure Championship around the waist of the new champion as Chris Jericho looked on deflated.
Winner and new champion: Daniel Garcia by submission.
