Live Coverage

– The show opens with a video of Jon Moxley. 

– He says he didn’t enjoy what he did to Bryan Danielson, but he had to do what he had to do because Danielson doesn’t have the stomach for the game anymore. He says that years ago, they set out to create something bigger than themselves, and now that Bryan’s method of patience and empathy didn’t work, MOX chooses war. 

– Darby Allin’s here. 

– Tony Schiavone interviewed Christian Cage and The Patriarchy to the ring to loud boos before revealing his Casino Gauntlet contract, which guarantees him an AEW World Title opportunity at any time. Cage stated that his son, Nick Wayne, informed him that people feel Cage possesses unlimited aura. Cage says that when Killswitch grabbed him by the throat at AEW All In, he noticed a spark in his eyes, a lightbulb went off, and he recognized what he needed to be: a monster, wrecking machine, and murderer for Cage. Schiavone mentions Cage teases cashing in at All Out, Cage stated he was ready to sign the contract and make it official, but it wasn’t the time or place.  Bryan Danielson’s days are numbered, and Cage says he will make Brie wish she were the one with CTE. Kip Sabian popped up at ringside towards the end of the segment. 

– Backstage Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher discuss challenging for the AEW Tag Team Titles together. 

* TNT Championship: Jack Perry (c) def. Lio Rush 

– Renee Paquette interviews Hangman Adam Page. Page says he promises to make anyone suffer if they get in his way on the road to Strickland. Jeff Jarett confronts him and tells him he will have to reckon with the man in the mirror one day. They start to brawl. 

– Jon Moxley, PAC, and Claudio Castagnoli beat up Komander and Private Party. PAC cuts a promo about how the company is broken. 

* Ricochet def. Sammy Guevara

– Beast Mortos attacks Ricochet post-match.

– Highlights from Willow Nightingale’s Chicago Street Fight vs Kris Statlander at All Out were aired.

– Kazuchika Okada talks about his AEW Continental Title defense from AEW All Out. He gets confronted by Konosuke Takeshita. Okada says he will be a champion one day but not the Continental Champion… Bitch!

– Darby Allin comes out and confronts Jon Moxley. Moxley tries to say that he still likes him, but he wants his guaranteed AEW Title shot. Darby says MOX has to earn it. It’s decided that they will fight at AEW Grand Slam, with the winner challenging Daniel Bryan Danielson at AEW WrestleDream.

– Nigel McGuinness tells Christopher Daniels he wants to meet with Tony Khan.

* AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: Mariah May (c) def. Queen Aminata 

– Young Bucks hype the Casino Gauntlet main event. 

* Chris Jericho, Big Bill & Bryan Keith def. The Iron Savages (Bronson, Boulder & Jacked Jameson)

– Afterward, Jericho still talks about how Orange Cassidy owes him money. Jericho opens Cassidy’s backpack to reveal that Orange still carries around a picture of his best friends after AEW All Out 2023. Cassidy appears in the video wall, and Mark Briscoe and Kyle O’Reilly dump a bunch of pennies into Chris Jericho’s car.

– Nigel McGuinness enters the ring and says that even though Bryan Danielson has been avoiding him, he’s gotten Tony Khan to agree to a match between them at AEW Grand Slam. Huge news.

– HOOK challenges Roderick Strong in a vignette.

* Tag Team Casino Gauntlet: Kyle Fletcher & Will Ospreay def. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood), Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson), MxM Collection (Mansoor & Mason Madden), The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster), The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd), The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent), Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett), and Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin)

– Matthew and Nicholas Jackson briefly confronted the United Empire duo after the match. In two weeks, they will now square off for the World Tag Team Championship in Queens at Grand Slam.
