Jon Moxley starts the show. He runs down CM Punk. CM Punk chants ring out in the Chicago crowd. Jon Moxley says he’s sorry the CM Punk didn’t take advantage of his second chance in wrestling. Reveals an open contract for a World Championship match at All Out. Ace Steel eventually comes down to take the contract and put it in his pocket.
– Daniel Garcia tells Chris Jericho that he is forever loyal to him but he also says that Chris Jericho does not need any help to beat Bryan Danielson this Sunday.
Jake Hager vs. Bryan Danielson
Danielson got put through a table early. Bryan Danielson tried to get the win with the LeBell Lock, Jake Hager made the ropes. Eventually, Bryan Danielson got the win with the running knee. After the match, 2point0 hit the ring and attacked Danielson. They were taken out by Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Chris Jericho ran down with a steel chair to try and lay out Danielson but Daniel Garcia ran down to take the chair away from Jericho leading to him getting hit with a knee courtesy of Bryan Danielson.
Winner: Bryan Danielson by pinfall
– Will Ospreay is confronted in his locker room by Don Callis. Don Callis tries to playfully say he’s looking forward to the match later tonight.
– Randomly, the wing Manor in the ring complaining about a lack of television time. They eventually get taken out by W. Morrissey, who is trailed from behind by Stokely Hathaway. Eventually, Morrissey is given one of Stokely Hathaway’s business cards. Stokely and Morrissey walk to the backstage area together and refuse to give Tony Schiavone an interview.
Dr. Britt Baker DMD & Jamie Hayter vs. Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida
Towards the end of the battle, Toni Storm it’s Sweet Cheeks Music, and takes Jamie Hayter away from the ring. Hikaru Shida got the victory by hitting Britt Baker with The Katana.
Winners: Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida by pinfall
– A vignette is shown for PAC vs. Kip Sabian this Sunday for the All-Atlantic Championship. Another vignette is shown with Miro, Sting and Darby Allin challenging House of Black to a match on Sunday.
– CM Punk, with a very serious expression, heads to the ring. CM Punk spoke in a very forlorn matter about not being sure if he is good enough anymore. Ace Steel ran down to the ring, explained his relationship with CM Punk to the audience. Told CM Punk that he is not going to quit on himself tonight, slapped him in the face, and told him to sign the contract to face Jon Moxley at All Out. CM Punk fired up and signed the contract in the crowd.
FTR & Wardlow vs. Silas Young, Ren Jones, & Vic Capri
This was a very quick match. Ren Jones was in the ring first and received a headbutt and a Lariat. When Vic Capri was tagged in, he would eventually receive the big rig and the Power Bomb Symphony leading to a Pinnacle victory.
Winners: FTR & Wadlow by pinfall.
Jon Moxley heads down to the ring, promises Chicago that he is going to hurt CM Punk on Sunday, and encourages Punk to find another miracle.
– Backstage, it is revealed that Pres10 Vance is hurt. Andrade tries to offer a contract to evil Uno to come work for him, Uno declines and is attacked by Andrade. Later, it is revealed that hangman will team with Silver and Reynolds moving forward.
Dante Martin vs. Rey Fenix vs. Rush vs. Wheeler Yuta
Each man got a chance to show off some of their signature offense. Wheeler Yuta eventually got the pin on Dante Martin by utilizing a unique pinning combination off of a springboard.
Winner: Wheeler Yuta by pinfall
AEW World Trios Championship Dynamite Final: Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks vs. United Empire (Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis)
Kenny Omega starts the match with Will Ospreay. During this match, Kenny shows less ring rust than he did two weeks ago. Throughout the match, Kenny has his compression shirt ripped off by Will revealing that he is still bandaged up. All competitors gave it their best shot. There was a moment where The Elite almost won with a Superkick V Trigger Combo, but in the end it came down to a One-Winged Angel on one of the members of Aussie Open for The Elite victory. They will compete in the finals at AEW All Out.
