AEW Dynamite (6/1) Preview: AEW Kicks Off The Summer Of Punk With California Debut

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means, it’s time for the first episode of AEW Dynamite after the 2022 Double or Nothing event.

Just 4 days ago, the landscape of AEW changed with the 2022 Double or Nothing event crowning a new world champion in CM Punk, multiple debuts, and more. Now, the company makes its long-awaited debut in California and they’re prepared to blow the roof off the venue. Here is everything you need to know before tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS.

Jon Moxley Goes One-On-One With Daniel Garcia

Under 100 hours after they went to war in the first-ever Anarchy in the Arena Match, Jon Moxley is going to go one-on-one with Daniel Garcia in the latest chapter of this gang war. Moxley will likely be moving in the name of Vengeance after his regular partner, Bryan Danielson was choked out by the Jericho Appreciation Society on Sunday. Garcia, looks to pick up the victory over one of the only people in history to hold the WWE and All Elite Wrestling World Championships.

Jamie Hayter And Britt Baker Meet Ruby Soho And Toni Storm Once Again

Just days after Britt Baker and Ruby Soho clashed over the first ever Owen Hart Memorial Cup and Championship, they will once again be in Tag Team Action alongside Jamie Hayter and Toni Storm respectively. Who will come away with the victory and move their way up the rankings to potentially face Jade Cargill or Thunder Rosa for a world championship? We will find out tonight.

10-Man Tag Team Action

In a bit of a wild card scenario, Hikuleo of New Japan Pro-Wrestling will join The Young Bucks, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly, The Undisputed Elite against Matt Hardy, Jurassic Express, Christian Cage, and Darby Allin. Darby and Hikuleo are replacing Adam Cole and Jeff Hardy who are currently injured. The action is sure to be quick-striking and painful in this 10-man tag team match.

That is just everything that is announced. New AEW Champion, CM Punk, will be in the building. We have yet to hear from Athena or Stokely Hathaway since they made their respective debuts. Wardlow is now a free man. Julia Hart has to answer for joining the House of Black. Plus, Samoa Joe is likely to be back home in California, and much more could all happen tonight on Dynamite.

Here is the current lineup for tonight’s AEW Dynamite:

AEW Dynamite (6/1)

– Darby Allin, Christian Cage, Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, and Matt Hardy vs. Hikuleo, Matt & Nick Jackson, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly
– Jon Moxley vs. Daniel Garcia
– Toni Storm & Ruby Soho vs. Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker
