AEW Dynamite (3/9) Preview: The Post-Revolution Will Be Televised
It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means.
After a hellacious Revolution 2022 event, AEW has one more episode of Dynamite in the state of Florida before heading to San Antonio, Texas for St. Patrick’s Day Slam.
Here’s everything you need to know before tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS.
Sammy Guevara Looks To Fend Off Another Eager Challenger
Scorpio Sky has wanted the TBS Championship for exactly one year now. After winning last year’s Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, Sky began to show a darker side of himself after his losing effort against then-champion Darby Allin. One year later, he looks to take the championship away from Sammy Guevara only this time, he has Ethan Page, Dan Lambert, and potentially Paige VanZant, in his corner.
Speaking of VanZant, Dan Lambert proclaims that in exchange for giving Scorpio this opportunity, Paige VanZant will sign with the company officially.
Chris Jericho Addresses Going Back On His Word
Chris Jericho promised that if Eddie Kingston could beat him at Revolution, he would shake his hand like a man. Eddie Kingston did, Chris Jericho didn’t. Now, Jericho says he will address Eddie Kingston and his actions at the pay-per-view on tonight’s episode of Dynamite. Will Jericho be flanked by members of the Inner Circle like Santana and Ortiz, who stayed away from ringside during the pay-per-view, and have not interjected themselves into this situation in weeks? Time will tell.
Jericho was recently quoted as saying that this story will have many layers and we will see the beginning of the next layer tonight.
Thunder Rosa Wants Another Shot At Glory
Thunder Rosa was robbed of the AEW Women’s World Championship at Revolution when the numbers game simply became too much to handle against Brett Baker. Now, Rosa looks to defeat Leyla Hirsch in a Number One Contender’s Match tonight with the winner challenging Britt Baker next week in San Antonio, Texas.
Last year, Rosa and Baker made history at St. Patrick’s Day Slam and Thunder Rosa is a native Texan. Will the stars align for history to be made once again? Rosa will have to get past The Legit One first.
William Regal Unites Danielson And Moxley
William Regal debuted at AEW Revolution and was able to get Jon Moxley on the same page with Bryan Danielson. Now, Tony Khan has announced that they will be in tag team action tonight on Dynamite. What’s next for this new team?
The Fallout From Revolution
Aside from everything announced that is listed above, a lot happened on Sunday, March 6. Wardlow earned himself a TNT Championship match next week and also cost MJF his match with CM Punk.
CM Punk has made it clear he wants to be AEW World Champion and Adam Page is now looking for a new Challenger after successfully vanquishing Adam Cole this past Sunday.
The relationship between Adam Cole, reDRagon, and The Young Bucks is also strenuous as Matt and Nick Jackson did not try to help Adam Cole win the championship from Hangman Page and reDRagon and The Young Bucks were unable to stay on the same page during the Tag Team Championship match.
Swerve has a new house, Matt Hardy is still acting erratically, Sting and Darby will surely be on the hunt for something new to focus on, and what is next for The House of Black?
All of this and more is what to look out for during tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
