AEW Dynamite (3/1) Preview: AEW Rocks The Cow Palace With A Ladder Match, Title Matches, And More

It’s Wednesday, March 1, 2023, and you know what that means!

It’s time to break down tonight’s AEW Dynamite on TBS.

Tonight’s episode will feature the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, Orange Cassidy defending his AEW All-Atlantic Championship, HOOK vs. Matt Hardy, Chris Jericho in action, and more.

Here’s everything you need to know before tonight’s AEW Dynamite on TBS.

Who Will Be The New Face Of The Revolution?

For the first time ever on Dynamite, The Face of the Revolution Ladder Match will take place live from the historic Cow Palace in San Francisco, California.

As AEW TNT Champion Samoa Joe watches from commentary, Ortiz, Eddie Kingston, AR Fox, Powerhouse Hobbs, Sammy Guevara, Konosuke Takeshita, and the debuting Kommander, will risk life and limb in order to get a chance to face Joe for the TNT Championship.

Of course, Joe needs to make it out of Revolution with the TNT Championship intact and he will have to face Wardlow before he can face the winner of this match.

Big Bill vs. Orange Cassidy For The AEW All-Atlantic Title

Orange Cassidy will once again be defending his AEW All-Atlantic Championship against the likes of Big Bill. Cassidy has consistently defended his title and seems determined to burn the belt at both ends and tonight, Bill is looking to drop him and become a single Champion for the first time in his career in the process.

Matt Hardy Challenges HOOK

Send HOOK, because Matt Hardy is waiting for him.

On March 1, matt Hardy will attempt to defend the honor of Stokely Hathaway and become the new FTW Champion as he wrestles “El Diablo Guapo” for the first time ever. Will Matt Hardy become a champion for the first time in his AEW career or will HOOK turn V1 into just another victim? Fans will find out on Wednesday, March 1

Tag Team Casino Battle Royale

With only one spot left in the Tag Team Title 4-Way at AEW Revolution, many teams will compete in a Casino Battle Royale in an effort to earn that last spot. As always with the Casino Battle Royale, there is the Joker entrant that can potentially throw everything out of whack for not only the competitors tonight but the competitors in the championship match on Sunday, March 5.

Chris Jericho Looks To Take “Pretty” Peter Downtown To Chinatown

Just days before he takes on Ricky Starks at AEW Revolution, Chris Jericho will wrestle Peter Avalon for the first time ever tonight. Chris Jericho is still looking to prove that nobody can outsmart “Le Champion.” Peter, on the other hand, is looking to get the biggest win of his career against the inaugural AEW World Champion. Surely, Ricky Starks will be watching this match

Toni Storm vs. Riho

Toni Storm will be in action against the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion Riho. Neither one of these women is involved in the championship match at AEW Revolution, but this battle of former World Champions can go a long way in the fight between homegrown talent such as Riho and Outsiders such as Toni.

In addition to all of that, Bryan Danielson and MJF are scheduled to speak ahead of their Ironman Match for the AEW World Championship at AEW Revolution.
