AEW Dynamite (2/15) Preview: Texas Tornado Tag Match, MJF Appears, Women’s Triple Threat, More
It’s Wednesday, February 15, 2023, and you know what that means!
It’s time to break down tonight’s AEW Dynamite on TBS.
Tonight’s episode will feature a Texas Tornado Match, Maxwell Jacob Friedman appearing, Hangman Page in action, and more.
Here’s everything you need to know before tonight’s AEW Dynamite on TBS.
Texas Tornado Action Between The Blackpool Combat Club & La Faccion Ingobernable
It will be high tension and high physicality in tonight’s Texas Tornado Tag Team Match. On one side of the ring, Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley will represent the Blackpool Combat Club. The BCC is looking to get retribution for what LFI did to Bryan Danielson last week.
Representing LFI will be RUSH and “Perro Peligrosso” Preston Vance. RUSH, a former Ring of Honor World Champion, would almost certainly love to get his hands on the current raining Ring of Honor World Champion in Castagnoli. Meanwhile, Vance has a long and storied history with Jon Moxley. In the past, Jon Moxley has done quite a lot of damage to Vance when they step into the ring, tonight’s match could be a chance for Vance to gain a measure of revenge.
It will be like a tornado in Laredo when these four men collide.
The Battle Lines Are Becoming Clear In AEW’s Women’s Division
Toni Storm & Saraya have made it clear that as former sports entertainers and well-traveled Superstars, they believe they are superior to AEW homegrown talent.
Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter, on the other hand, have no problem bleeding for AEW, with Baker being seen as one of the pillars of the company as a whole.
Stuck in the middle of all of this is Ruby Soho. Much like Storm & Saraya, she is also a former WWE Superstar. However, much like Britt Baker, she has literally spilled her blood in the name of the AEW women’s division.
Tonight, Ruby Soho, Britt Baker, and Toni Storm will compete in a Triple Threat as all of these opposing philosophies and emotions collide.
Jungle Boy vs. Brian Cage
Tonight, Brian Cage and “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry will go one-on-one. Both men were staples of AEW during the first year of AEW Dynamite, and now, both will be looking to establish why they should be next in line for a championship opportunity as they look to rebuild their careers.
Adam Cole And Wardlow Sit-Down Interviews
Adam Cole and Wardlow are two men at two very different points in their careers. Tonight, both will take part and sit-down interviews and explain what is next for them. Wardlow will be speaking with Jim Ross while Adam Cole talks about the next phase of his recovery with Renee Paquette.
Mark Briscoe Competes
Tonight, Mark Briscoe will be in action for only the second time on AEW Dynamite. Briscoe looks to face Josh Woods and Mark is looking to keep the spirit of Dem Boys alive and well with another victory.
The Acclaimed, Daddy Ass, And Orange Cassidy Are Gonna… Whatever…
In a scheduled 8-Man Tag Team Match, some of All Elite Wrestling’s most eccentric characters will mix it up. Orange Cassidy will team up, or whatever, with “The Sultans of Scissoring” The Acclaimed’s Anthony Bowens & Max Caster, and “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn. Standing across the ring from them is scheduled to be Jeff Jarrett and his band of merry misfits, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, and Sonjay Dutt.
With guitars, and pencils, and scissors, and all that ass, anything can happen in a match like this.
It is currently unknown whether or not the passing of Jeff Jarrett’s father, Jerry Jarrett, will change this scheduled match. Fightful sends its condolences to the Jarrett family at this time.
Hangman Page And Kip Sabian Will Get Physical
As Hangman Page continues to work through his frustrations over his rivalry with Jon Moxley, he will get to take out some of those frustrations on Kip Sabian. Sabian recently picked up a big victory on AEW Dark and hopes to carry that momentum forward with a victory over a former AEW World Champion.
As for what is next between Hangman and MOX, no one can truly predict what Jon Moxley will do next.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman Is “Obligated” To Appear
Everybody’s favorite devil, MJF, is contractually obligated to appear on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. He will defend his AEW World Championship in a 60-Minute Iron Man Match against Bryan Danielson on March 5 at AEW Revolution. Surely, Maxwell is not happy about it being obligated to appear in Laredo, Texas, but at least he’s not obligated to wrestle.
In addition to all of that, AEW stars like The Gunns, Jade Cargill, Samoa Joe, and more are all waiting for their next opportunity to make a statement. AEW Revolution is soon upon us, and tonight, Laredo, Texas is where the next chapter in AEW will unfold.
