AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 Post-Show Media Scrums And Coverage


AEW Double or Nothing 2021 has ended, and now we have the post-show scrums. Fightful will have full coverage of them below, as well as their streaming videos.

– Britt Baker said she is both validating the championship and the championship is validating her hard work and wrestling journey.

– Britt Baker said it was a slow process developing her confidence and now she feels that fans have reacted positively to her because they have grown with her.

– Baker says that she will be bringing the championship with her to the dental office. She also noted that she has already called her boyfriend, Adam Cole, and will be celebrating with her family.

– Britt Baker says that she feels fortunate enough to be considered a needle-mover in wrestling, saying that there’s always pressure but pressure makes diamonds.

– Baker credits Cody, Chris Jericho, and Ricky Starks for helping her elevate her game and says you are an idiot if you don’t take advantage of the amount of experience available in AEW.

– Baker puts over her relationship with Tony Schiavone and says that she couldn’t imagine this night without receiving a hug from him.

– Baker wants to continue doing what she’s been doing as champion because she feels that what she’s been doing works.

– Baker says being involved in dentistry keeps her grounded and reminds her of all the hard work that she put into both of her careers.

– Britt Baker says the division is getting better over time as all the talent continues to receive television time and more repetition in the ring.

– Britt Baker says there are currently no female coaches working behind the scenes but names Serena Deeb as a potential coach.

– Baker said she will be a dentist until she cannot walk anymore but right now wrestling is her life.

– Chris Jericho noted that they filmed the Stadium Stampede match over the last four days and stated that this was more action-based because last year, things were uncertain and this year, they wanted it to be more of an action film.

– Chris Jericho compared Stadium Stampede to the Elimination Chamber in that you never think there will be a sequel until the matches maintain a formula and a rhythm.

– Chris Jericho said that they brought in one of the stunt coordinators for the John Wick movies to help them with the match.

– Chris Jericho promised to continue on with AEW even as Fozzy goes back on the road.

– Chris puts over the talent of Inner Circle, says that one day Santana and Ortiz will be tag team champions. says that the 5-way turn where the whole faction became babyfaces has never been done before.

– Chris Jericho says they tried to license Back in Black by AC/DC but they never even called back.

– Chris Jericho says he enjoys that AEW gets as many people on TV as possible to give more talent the chance to be a star.

– Re: MJF – Chris Jericho says age is not a factor to him, you either get it or you don’t. Notes that The Pinnacle was beginning to form as an idea and Chris Jericho I had the idea for the rivalry with Max because of their chemistry.

– Chris Jericho says he keeps his worlds separate in regards to Fozzy and AEW but he will continue to do both and they may intersect one day.

– Tony Khan describes the mood of the evening as indescribable.

– Tony called this the number two most emotional show they’ve ever done, second to the Brodie Lee tribute show, and says that he wishes Brodie Lee could have experienced a full crowd.

– Tony Khan says he will consider developing content for a child/teenager market.

– Tony is proud of the development of Orange Cassidy. Says he pitched the idea of Cassidy vs. PAC at last year’s Revolution event and is happy to see how far he’s come.

– Tony called Jungle Boy winning the Casino Battle Royal a highlight of the whole event and wants him in World Championship matches as soon as possible because he can see that he will be a World Title player for years to come.

– Tony is glad that they were able to get Lio rush for the event. Says they wanted him last year but he was busy filming The Challenge for MTV. Currently, they are on a handshake deal and says Rush will be able to continue working in New Japan.

– Similarly, Tony says Don Callis is currently a package deal with Kenny Omega and will likely be a part of their shows for years to come.

– Now that the pandemic error is coming to an end, Tony says Dark and Elevation will be reformatted and there will be times that the show is filmed in bulk with Rampage and Dynamite but sometimes, Rampage will be live.

– Tony says Mark Henry is a big part of the presentation of Rampage and there will also be another commentator that is currently an active competitor in the promotion.

– Tony says he was so impressed with how Sting exceeded expectations in the ring.

– Tony stated that the incident where Willie Urbina was caught mocking Hikaru Shida was unacceptable and there was no excuse for it.
