AEW Dark Results 12/22/2020 Rey Fenix, Miro, Dr. Britt Baker’s The Waiting Room and More Compete

Jurassic Express vs. Bear Country
The match begins with Jungle Boy in the ring with Bear Bronson. Jungle Boy uses his speed, but Bronson can slow him down due to his size. Jungle Boy tags in Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus hits Bronson with a nice elbow. Jungle Boy is tagged in and does a flat liner to Bronson and followed it up with a senton and goes for a pin but only one count. Bronson grabs Jungle Boy, slams him, beats him down, and then tags in Bear Boulder and hits a back body drop on Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy is trying to tag in Luchasaurus, but Bear Country works together to stop him. Jungle Express start working together and hit some combination moves. Bronson is the legal man, and Jungle Boy lunges at him, and Bronson hits the Monster Driver on both Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. Bear Country has the upper hand and controlling the match, but they made a mistake when Bear Bronson was on Boulder’s shoulder, and Luchasaurus hits the Doomsday Device, and Bronson lands on top of his head. Luchasaurus nails Bronson with the corkscrew, and Jungle Boy ends it with an elbow to the back of the head. Jungle Boy goes for the pin and gets the win.
Winner: Jungle Express
Tesha Price vs. Nyla Rose w/Vickie Guerrero
The match begins with Tesha wanting to shake Nyla’s hand, but Nyla does not let go and strikes her and has the upper hand until Price gets a nice surprising kick to Rose’s head. Nyla Rose slams Price numerous times and throws her in the corner, and then hits multiple splashes. Nyla is destroying Price, and Nyla ends it when she gets on the top turnbuckle and hits Price in the back of the head with her knee. Rose goes for the pins and wins the match.
Winner: Nyla Rose
Sonny Kiss vs. Miro
The match begins with Miro with a high-round kick to Sonny Kiss and begins celebrating, and Miro attempted to hit Sonny with some stomps, but Sonny rolls out of the way. Sonny is countering Miro at every turn, and it is frustrating Miro. Sonny hits Miro with a Hurricanrana, but it does not do anything to him, and he gets right up. Miro gets Sonny on the ground, and he begins to stomp on Kiss, and then Miro puts Sonny in a submission hold. The ref calls for the bell, and Miro wins.
Winner: Miro
Dr. Britt Baker’s The Waiting Room begins with Baker wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and she begins thanking Tony Khan for fixing the wall that Scorpio Sky destroyed when he threw Shawn Spears into it. She talks about what she did to Thunder Rosa last week. Baker says Sting will be on The Waiting Room next week. Baker then brings up tomorrow’s Dynamite and says that show will have The Butcher vs. Pac. Baker does a Pac impression saying, “no one understands what you’re saying.” She then starts to make fun of Top Flight and how they will lose to The Inner Circle’s Chris Jericho and MJF. She then introduces the guests for the show Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian of SCU. Kazarian says he’s not in any mood for some comedy. Kazarian says that he and Sky were the ones who became tag team champions, not Daniels. Kazarian says that being successful in this business means everything, and he says what pro wrestling has done for him and his family. Kazarian says Daniels isn’t just his tag team partner, that he is his best friend, brother, and was the best man at his wedding. He then apologizes for being frustrated with him. Daniels cuts him off right away and says he does not apologize for being passionate. He apologizes to Kazarian for losing the passion. He calls 2020 “the worst year of my professional life.” Daniels says that these past 10 months might be a sign for him to retire. He drops the microphone to leave, but Kazarian stops him and says that he can’t just quit. Kazarian says Daniels is a fighter, and he wants Daniels by his side. Kazarian says they will go from the bottom and climb up and become the AEW Tag Team Champions. Daniels appears to be leaving, but he doesn’t and then agrees to Kazarian’s ultimatum that they are done if they lose again as a team. SCU then calls out Hybrid2, who is sitting in the crowd, and they want to have a match against them.
Thunder Rosa vs. Jazmin Allure
Thunder Rosa starts with a quick takedown on Allure. They lock up again and begin to exchange wrist locks. Allure gets out of it and catches Rosa with a leg sweep and then a dropkick. Rosa is back in control with a few strong strikes. Rosa now nails Allure with a double knee strike. Rosa has Allure on her shoulders, slams her into the corner, goes with the power slam, and then goes for the pin attempt but only a two count. Allure countered a strike from Rosa and came back with a flurry of strikes. Allure gets Rosa with a Facebuster and then goes for the pin but only a two count. Rosa is in control and then goes for the Fire Thunder Driver for the win.

Lee Johnson (w/ QT Marshall) vs. Stu Grayson w/ Evil Uno
Stu Grayson starts with the advantage over Johnson but Johnson counters back. Both wrestlers are moving really quick, with both going back and forth with their strikes. Johnson goes for the springboard, but Grayson caught him and then did his own springboard senton. Grayson gets Johnson with a very nice Uranagi and then goes for the cover but only a two. Grayson is mocking Johnson and knocks him down, but Johnson is building a comeback. Johnson surprises Grayson with an enzuguri of his own. Johnson hits the Blue Thunder Bomb on Grayson but only a two-count. Grayson hits a Dragon Suplex and then a springboard 450 and goes for the pin, but Johnson kicks out. Johnson is back up and hits the buckle bomb and also nails him with the Tornado. Johnson goes for the pin, but Grayson gets his foot on the ropes. Johnson begins going after Grayson outside of the ring, but Grayson gets back in. Grayson uses the Argentine Backbreaker on Johnson, and he goes into the corner. Grayson finishes the match with a knee strike followed by Nightfall and pins Johnson for the win.
Winner: Stu Grayson
KiLynn King vs. Alex Gracia
Excalibur says that the winner will face AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida on the December 23rd, Dynamite. King is the first to get control and brings down Gracia. King goes for two quick roll-ups but kicks out with ease. King hits some big strikes, and then a dropkick, goes for the cover, but Gracia kicks out. Gracia is up and counters King’s strikes in the corner and now can attempt a roll-up, but it doesn’t work. King now follows up with some offense, but she takes the big boot from Gracia. King is now in the corner, Gracia goes for the pin, but King kicks out at two. Gracia gets King back up and gets King with a neck breaker for the win.
Winner: Alex Gracia
Peter Avalon vs. Mike Verna
Avalon gets Verna in a hammerlock, but Verna gets out of it, and then the two begin exchanging holds and now are in the corner, but the ref makes them break. Avalon now pushes Verna; Verna can get Avalon into the full nelson and gets Avalon to go down. Avalon counters Verna in the corner and then does a slingshot into the corner post. Avalon now uses a leg drop on Verna’s left arm and then has Verna in a half scissor submission. Verna gets out of it by trying to get a quick roll-up pin, but Avalon kicks out. Avalon is in control and begins to wear down Verna. Avalon now nails Verna with a palm strike in the corner. Verna is up and in control, and he gets Avalon down with a missile dropkick. Verna now hits multiple clotheslines and follows it with a big punch. Verna now does a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker followed up with the Fisherman’s Suplex and goes for the pin but a kick out. Verna goes for the Swanton, but Avalon counters him and hits the Marti-knees and gets the win.
Winner: Peter Avalon
Red Velvet vs. Vertvixen
Red Velvet gets Vertvixen down with an arm drag followed up with a dropkick. Red Velvet begins insulting Vertvixen; Velvet gives Vertvixen a boot to the face. Vertvixen comes back strong and begins getting some powerful strikes in on Red Velvet. Red Velvet does the step-up enzuguri when she gained control and then begins with some strikes followed up with a big boot. She then does the Cazadora and follows it up with a moonsault. Velvet goes for the pin but only a two-count. Vertvixen is taken down again by Red Velvet; it appeared as if she lost her balance possibly. Velvet now nails Vertfixen with a double knee strike, finishes it up with a dropkick, and gets the pin.
Winner: Red Velvet
Six-Man Tag Team: The Dark Order (Colt Cabana, 5, 10) vs. Aaron Solow, Fuego del Sol, Ray Jaz
Del Sol and Cabana begin the match, but Cabana takes over because Del Sol cannot match him on strength. Del Sol, however, uses his speed and goes for the monkey flip, Cabana is smarter, and he counters Del Sol every time. Cabana says that he’s going to do a clothesline, but Del Sol avoids him, and he tagged in Solow. 5 now tags himself in, and he and Solow start going back and forth. Solow hits 5 with a dropkick, but 5 hits back with an elbow. 5 hits the leg sweep and then goes for the cover, but Solow kicks out. 10 is now tagged in, but Solow avoids The Dark Orders combinations and tags in Jaz. Jaz is working 10 and has him with a side headlock. 10 gets out of it and now nails Jaz with the spinebuster. 10 grabs and throws Jaz out of the ring and then throws him into the barrier. Jaz gets back in the ring when he recovers and nails 10 with some elbows. Jaz escapes 10 by flipping over him, and he tags in Del Sol. Del Sol gets some strikes in, but 10 drops him with the Wheelbarrow Suplex. Now, Cabana and 5 set up Jaz for the spear. Dark Order gets the win.

Leyla Hirsch vs. Madi Wrenkowski
Leyla Hirsch begins on Madi Wrenkowski with a double-leg takedown and then attempts a cross-arm breaker, but Wrenkowski can get to the ropes, which causes the ref to call for a rope break. Hirsch controls Wrenkowsk’s; Wrenkowski tries to get out of it, but Hirsch locked in another cross arm-breaker. But Wrenkowski again gets to the ropes. Wrenkowski nails Hirsh with a dropkick. Wrenkowski is working on wearing down Hirsch, and it appears to be working. Wrenkowski now goes for a splash in the corner, followed up with a facebuster. She goes for the cover, but Hirsch kicks out. Hirsch is back up and now is on the offensive again. Wrenkowski countered Hirsch’s clothesline by doing a backslide pin attempt, but Hirsch kicks out. Just a short time later, Hirsch takes over by hitting the Olympic Slam, and then she locked in the armbar for the submission.

The Gunn Club (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) vs. Terrence and Terrell Hughes
Terrence Hughes and Colten Gunn start the match off with a handshake. Colten and Terrence both hit shoulder tackles, and some arm drags. Austin is now in; Terrence rolls Austin in a crucifix cover as they then exchange hip tosses. Colten is tagged in, and Gunn Club hit Terrence with some combination moves. Colten now goes for a crucifix cover; however, Terrence kicks out. Austin gets distracted as the Hughes are double-teaming on Colten. TNT now gets Austin in the corner, and Terrell, with Terrence’s help, hit the Death Valley Driver, and they go for the cover, but Austin kicked out. TNT now goes for another combo move, but Austin gets to Colten for the hot tag. Colten gets a dropkick in, goes for a cover, but Terrence breaks it up. This gives Terrell an opportunity on an unsuspecting Colten, but Colten does not let it happen as he gets Terrell in the Colt 45, and The Gunn Club gets the pin for the win.

Rey Fenix vs. Danny Limelight
Fenix goes on the quick offensive early, but Limelight catches Fenix and does a few roll-ups, but Fenix has no problem getting out. Limelight now hits some chops on Fenix; Fenix shows his chops are stronger as he takes down Limelight with one chop. Fenix later drops Limelight with a dropkick. Fenix does package piledriver, but Limelight countered. However, Limelight cannot do much because of Fenix’s speed. They continue to go back and forth with strikes. Limelight has Fenix down and gets in some hard kicks. Limelight hits Fenix with the hanging neck breaker. He goes for the pin, but Fenix kicks out. Fenix caught Limelight with a big thrust kick then follows it up with an enzuguri. Fenix begins getting some strikes in on Limelight. Limelight countered Fenix with a leaping double stomp, and he goes for the cover but a two count. Limelight now gets Fenix onto the top rope and then nails a big knee on Fenix; Fenix and Limelight are both up and begin hitting each other with back and forth chops. Limelight goes off the ropes but is Fenix catches him with a superkick. Fenix hits the Musclebuster on Limelight and gets the win.

Serpentico w/Luther vs. Matt Sydal
Serpentico starts fast, but Matt Sydal escapes Serpentico’s takedowns. Sydal gets a few arm drags in and goes for the roll-up; however, Serpentico kicked out. Luther dragged Serpentico and tries to get him going but gets him back in; now, he gets dropped with multiple arm drags. Sydal has Serpentico in a neck crank submission. Serpentico countered out of it. Serpentico hits a high kick, then a double stomp goes for the pin, but Sydal kicks out. Luther gets some shots in on Sydal because the referee is distracted. Sydal nails the Slice Drive on Serpentico; Serpentico counters Sydal with a DDT. Sydal is back up, and he can counter and does a low angle suplex. He goes to cover Serpentico, but he kicks out. Sydal catches Serpentico with a nice knee strike, then finishes it off with a swinging neck breaker and gets the victory.
