AEW Dark Results 01/19/21: Sammy Guevara, Top Flight, Lucha Bros., Scorpio Sky, plus more in action

Luchasaurus (w/ Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt) vs. Brandon Cutler

The match begins with Brandon Cutler trying to get the quick pin; however, Luchasaurus takes over rather quickly by using his strength. The action went outside the ring, and Luchasaurus hits Cutler with some heavy chops and also throws into the ring post. Cutler now has the advantage; he hits the slingshot senton and followed it up a long-distance leg drop. Luchasaurus is now back in control and is just tossing Cutler around; he nails Cutler with a big lariat. Cutler hits a nice springboard elbow, follows it with a knee strike, and continued with hitting a second springboard elbow.

Luchasaurus is back up, and he grabs Cutler and strikes him with a slam; Cutler gets up immediately, and Luchasaurus chokeslams Cutler straight down. Cutler landed right on the back of his head and neck. Luchasaurus goes for the pin; Cutler kicks out, Luchasaurus waits for Cutler to get back up and kicks him with a roundhouse. He follows it up by pinning Cutler for the victory.

Winner: Luchasaurus

Sammy Guevara vs. El Australiano

The match begins with Sammy Guevara and El Australiano tying up; Guevara gets the upper hand right away and brings El Australiano to the mat. Guevara showboats a little and then goes into the corner, waiting for El Australiano to get back up. Now, El Australiano shows off with a little dance. El Australiano hits Sammy with a twisting senton. El Australiano and Guevara exchange chops; El Australiano goes to the top rope and hits Sammy with a 450 splash. El Australiano now hits Guevara with the Dragonrana. El Australiano goes for the pin; Guevara kicks out at two, though.

Sammy Guevara is in control, and he hits El Australiano with a suplex and then brings him back to the ring for a DDT. Guevara goes for the shooting star press, but El Australiano moves out of the way. Sammy’s now lying in the middle of the ring. El Australiano has Guevara on his shoulders, Guevara hits El Australiano with some elbow strikes, and Guevara gets away from El Australiano. El Australiano turns around to try and go to the top rope, and Guevara immediately hits the GTH. Sammy pins El Australiano for the victory. Sammy now has the mic and tells those in attendance that he is the best worker AEW has. He talks about Jericho as his mentor, and Sammy says he is here because Jericho is the one that brought him in; he tells everyone they are on notice and he’s going after them. Whether it’s Kenny Omega or whoever it is, it doesn’t matter.

Winner: Sammy Guevara

Nick Comoroto vs. Scorpio Sky

The match begins with a collar and elbow tie-up; Nick Comoroto, however, tosses Scorpio Sky away. Scorpio Sky and Comoroto are exchanging multiple strikes. Comoroto turns Sky around when he is on the ropes, and Comoroto uses the ropes to go after Sky’s back. Comoroto is working Scorpio Sky’s back, and now Comoroto throws Scorpio Sky into the turnbuckle so hard that the in-ring camera on the turnbuckle went out of focus. Scorpio Sky gets a little offense in. However, Comoroto takes over and nails Sky with a few more strikes.

The action is now outside the ring, and Sky goes over the top and lands on Comoroto. Scorpio Sky hits a big missile dropkick. Sky has lost the advantage now as Comoroto hits Sky with a brutal neck breaker. Comoroto goes for a body slam, Sky gets out of it and hits Comoroto with the TKO. Sky follows it up by pinning Comoroto for the victory.

Winner: Scorpio Sky

Shanna vs. Marti Daniels

The match begins when Marti Daniels goes right after Shanna. She gets some strikes in, Shanna comes back with some of her own. Shanna hits Daniels with an enzuigiri, and Daniels falls back into the turnbuckle. Shanna goes for the Tiger Suplex and hits it; she’s going for the pin, but the shoulders are not down, says the referee. Shanna brings her back up and does another Tiger Suplex, and this time it works as she gets the pin and the win.

Winner: Shanna

The Butcher and The Blade (w/ The Bunny) vs. Mike Verna and Baron Black

The match begins with The Blade and Mike Verna tying up; The Blade has the advantage over Verna. The Blade throws Verna into the ropes. Verna appears to show that he was going to attempt a step-up hurricanrana, but The Blade turns it into a powerbomb. The Blade tags in The Butcher and Verna tags in Baron Black, The Butcher, and The Blade are still controlling the match. They are getting some heavy shots in on Baron. Baron is on the ropes, and the ref is being distracted, and The Bunny goes over and starts attacking Baron. A few moments later, Verna gets the hot tag from Baron Black, Black is on a roll, and he hits a running power slam on The Blade. The Butcher and The Blade hit the combination finisher powerbomb and neckbreaker. The Butcher pins Baron Black for the win.

Winners: The Butcher and The Blade (w/The Bunny)

The Gunn Club (Billy, Austin, and Colten) vs. Ryzin, Adam Priest, and Vary Morales

The match began with Billy Gunn and Vary Morales begin with a collar and elbow tie-up, Billy throws him down. Morales tags in Adam Priest and they begin with a collar and elbow tie-up, and Billy does the same and pushes Priest right down to the mat. Priest gets up, and tags in Ryzin; Ryzin acts as he wants to tie-up, but he hits Billy with a cheap shot. Billy and Ryzin go back and forth, but Billy tags in Colten and Colten takes care of Priest, and Priest retreats to tag in Morales. Austin is now in, and he is taking out his opponents with multiple elbow strikes and hits Priest with a bigger uppercut. Colten Gunn is tagged in my by Austin; Colten hits a big splash on Priest in the corner. He follows it up by doing the same to Vary Morales in the opposite corner. Austin grabs Morales and lands a running power slam. He goes for the pin, but Morales gets the save from Ryzin. Colten and Austin hit the 3:10 to Yuma, Colten pins Morales for the win.

Winners: The Gunn Club (Billy, Austin, and Colten Gunn)

Santana & Ortiz vs. Danny Limelight & Jon Cruz

This match begins with Santana and Danny Limelight, Limelight goes after Santana, and he gets a few strikes in until Santana basically throws him aside. Limelight recovers; however, Santana is waiting for him and strikes him down with some heavy strikes. Santana tags in Ortiz, and they both team up and slam down Limelight. Jon Cruz tries to save, but Ortiz takes care of Cruz by sending him outside the ring. Santana hits Limelight with a sit-down powerbomb, and Ortiz follows it up with a heavy kick to Limelight’s chest. Ortiz covers Limelight and gets the win. Santana and Ortiz beat Limelight and Jon Cruz in less than two minutes.

Winners: Santana & Ortiz

– Peter Avalon comes in and cuts a promo about how he’s on a winning streak lately. He says that “The Walk Off” for the Pretty Peter Pageant Provocation. He says Lee Johnson has accepted an invitation, and he goes over the rules and says next week we will see “The Walk Off” with him and Lee Johnson.

Private Party (w/ Matt Hardy) vs. Lee Johnson and Aaron Solow

Marq Quen and Aaron Solow begin this match. Quen hits a shoulder tackle, follows it up with a standing moonsault on Solow. Solow nails Quen with a back elbow, Matt Hardy trips Solow, and Matt Hardy is angry with Quen’s work. Solow hit Quen with a dropkick and now tags in Lee Johnson. Quen tags in Isiah Kassidy; he is going right after Solow. Kassidy attempts to dive, but Hardy gets in the way. Johnson now hits Kassidy with a dropkick.

Private Party team up and hit Poetry in Motion, and that puts down Solow. Private Party goes for the springboard combo, but Hardy yells at them, allowing Johnson some time. Johnson hits Kassidy with a Blue Thunder Bomb, goes for the pin, but Kassidy kicks out. Solow hits the Olympics Slam, cover, but Kassidy kicks out. Solow is now preventing Kassidy from tagging Quen, but Kassidy hits the jawbreaker on Solow. Quen now tags in, and he takes out Solow.

Johnson and Solow double-team Quen for a hanging neckbreaker; he goes for the pin, but Quen kicks out. Kassidy is making a comeback; he hits a guillotine cutter on Johnson. Solow goes into the ropes, but Hardy hits him with a right. Private Party takes advantage and hits the Stereo Enzuguri for the win.

Winners: Private Party (w/ Matt Hardy)

Big Swole vs. Alex Gracia

Big Swole and Alex Gracia begin by trading holds. Swole brings down Gracia with a shoulder tackle and follows it with a back elbow. Gracia now comes back with a few elbows; she drops Swole onto the ropes and nails her with an area code shot. Gracia begins working on Swole’s arm with control of the match and then hits the leg drop onto both of Swoles arms. Swole countered Gracia’s hanging neckbreaker with a nice pump kick. Swole brings Gracia to a stop when she hits her with a few cross chops and gets the victory when she nails Gracia with the headbutt and then hit Dirty Dancing for the win.

Winner: Big Swole

Sonny Kiss vs. Zack Clayton

Sonny Kiss begins the match by getting Zack Clayton down with a drop toehold. Kiss then catches Clayton with a high kick, Clayton is coming back with some strikes, but Kiss stops him with a rolling kick. Clayton brings down Kiss with a huge clothesline. Clayton goes for and hits a delayed suplex and drops a knee onto Kiss. Clayton goes for the pin, but Kiss kicks out. Kiss comes back with a few elbows. Kiss hits a single-leg dropkick and then gets in another dropkick. Clayton brings Kiss to the ropes. Kiss caught him, though with a high kick. Kiss then nails Clayton with a spinning leg drop. Kiss comes back with more kicks, and before going up top, Kiss hits the flatliner. Sonny Kiss goes to the top and does a diving leg drop, follows it up with the pin to win.

Winner: Sonny Kiss

AJ Kirsh & KC Navarro vs. Top Flight

AJ Kirsh and Darius Martin begin the match. Kirsh gets the upper hand by getting Darius into a headlock. Darius gets to his brother and tags in Dante, and they work together on KC Navarro and Kirsh. Top Flight gets some hard kicks in on Navarro. Kirsh gets enough time and uses it to his advantage, and tags in Navarro. Navarro hits Dante with a big chop, but Dante comes back and goes for the dropkick, but he missed it. Navarro starts making fun of Dante but Dante nails Navarro with a big dropkick.

Dante tags in Kirsh, Kirsh hits Dante’s knees, and that stop Dante from tagging Darius. Kirsh hits a clothesline and then hits a Northern Lights Suplex. He goes for the cover, but Dante kicks out. Dante gets up and gets to Darius for the tag. Darius comes in with a big crossbody. Darius now flips through and hits the standing Spanish Fly, Darius goes for the pin on Navarro, but Kirsh broke up the pin. Dante now goes to the corner turnbuckle, and he hits a very nice moonsault on Kirsh. Darius then pins Navarro to get the win for Top Flight.

Winners: Top Flight

Diamante & Ivelisse vs. Katalina Perez & Tesha Price

Tesha Price and Diamante begin the match, Price gets in some quick and heavy strikes. Katalina Perez is tagged in, and Perez is trying to keep the momentum going, and she goes for the dropkick but misses. This allows Diamante to tag in Ivelisse, Ivellise hits Perez with a reverse DDT. She goes for the cover, but Perez kicks out. Ivelisse hits Perez with a suplex and then rolls it into a guillotine. Perez gets out of it. Ivelisse, however, kicks her and then comes at her with a big elbow.

Diamante lands a series of elbows on Perez; Perez comes back with a kick to the midsection and then hits Diamante with a back elbow. Ivelisse and Price are now tagged in. Perez nails a cartwheel roundhouse kick and follows it with a bulldog. She goes for the pin, Ivelisse kicks out. Price now goes for the shotgun dropkick and lands it; she now tags in Perez. Price is still in the ring. She hits an enzuigiri on Ivellise, Perez now hits the swinging neckbreaker. They go for the pin to try and get the upset win, but Diamante breaks it up. Diamante nails Price, allowing Ivelisse to hit Perez with the rolling kick for the win.

Winners: Diamante & Ivelisse

Fuego Del Sol & Shawn Dean vs. The Acclaimed

Max Caster and Fuego Del Sol begin the match. Caster goes for and gets a wrist lock in on Del Sol, but Del Sol uses his speed to get out of it. Caster now tosses Del Sol, Del Sol tags in Shawn Dean. Dean goes in and but is met with a big boot, he gets back up, and Caster then brings Dean down with a shoulder tackle. Dean is up and showing his strength as he gets out of a powerslam. Dean goes on the top rope and hits a diving crossbody, and Caster gets up and is brought down by a clothesline.

Caster recovers and hits Dean with a jawbreaker off. Anthony Bowens tags in, he and Caster go for the neckbreaker and backbreaker combo, they go for the pin, Dean kicks out. Bowens now is landing some big and heavy strikes on Shawn Dean. Dean accidentally hits Del Sol; however, Del Sol recovers and tags, and now he sends Bowens into Caster. Del Sol goes to stop a tornado DDT, but Bowens and Caster come back with a powerslam and elbow drop combination finish for the victory.

Winners: The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster)

Lucha Brothers (w/ PAC) vs. Chaos Project

Pentagon Jr. and Luther begin the match, Luther is playing games. Pentagon makes his hand gesture of “Cero Miedo” to Luther, Luther tags in Serpentico Serpentico hits Pentagon with a diving crossbody. Fenix is now tagged in, and he goes up to Serpentico and looks at him and basically trying to play games of his own. He goes to try and challenge Serpentico. Serpentico launches off the top rope and gets Rey Fenix in a sunset flip, but Fenix kicks out. Fenix then cracks Serpentico with a huge chop and followed it up with a high kick.

Chaos Project attempts to stop the Lucha Bros. momentum, and it works for a short time. Serpentico hits a short DDT on Pentagon; he goes for the cover; Pentagon kicks out. Luther tags in and uses Serpentico to leg drop him on Pentagon; however, Pentagon kicks out. Luther is frustrated with the ref, Luther once again uses Serpentico, but Serpentico had enough and started getting into it with Luther. Luther doesn’t care one bit and grabs Serpentico to bulldog Pentagon. He then slams Serpentico’s head down on Pentagon. Pentagon is in the corner, but Pentagon drops Luther with the sling blade.

Fenix is now in and drops Luther with a dropkick and follows it up with a pump kick on Serpentico. Fenix is going after both Luther and Serpentico. Pentagon hits Serpentico with the gamagori, Fenix then hits a powerbomb. Luther is trying to get back in the ring; Fenix walks the ropes, destroys Luther with a big kick, and falls off the apron. Fenix and Pentagon Jr. hit their package piledriver and double stomp combo for the win. After the match, PAC, Pentagon Jr., and Fenix embrace. The show goes off the air.

Winners: The Lucha Bros. (w/ PAC)
