AEW Dark 3/9/21 Results: SCU, Proud and Powerful, Abadon, Dark Order, Kip Sabian, plus more perform

The show begins with Excalibur welcoming the viewers to AEW Dark, and he introduces his fellow commentator Taz.
Angel Fashion vs. Powerhouse Hobbs (w/ Hook)
The bell rings, and Angel Fashion runs straight for Powerhouse Hobbs, but Hobbs has none of it and gets some heavy shots, and then a big spinebuster by Hobbs. Hobbs then lifts him for Temp Business. He then pins Fashion to get the victory.
Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs (w/ Hook)
After the match, they show highlights of the AEW Revolution Pay-Per-View.
SCU (Frankie Kazarian & Christopher Daniels) vs. Azrieal & Danny Limelight
Frankie Kazarian and Danny Limelight begin the match with a tie-up. Both men exchange holds for about a minute before Limelight takes Kazarian down with an arm drag. Limelight runs the rope with Kazarian flipping him with his feet.
Limelight gets some heavy chops from Kazarian, and then Kazarian lands a nice German suplex. Kazarian now tags in Christopher Daniels, and he takes control with a vertical suplex, but soon Limelight makes it over to Azrieal to make the tag. Azriel hits Daniels with a pick dropkick, but Daniels hits him with a slam. Azriel and Limelight exchange multiple tags and controls the action. Limelight hits Daniels with a nice frog splash. Daniels finally gets away from Limelight for the hot tag. Frankie is back in, and he destroys Azrieal with a big clothesline. SCU going for the pin, but it is broken up. SCU then hits Celebrity Rehab, and that gets them the victory.
Winners: SCU (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian)
The Pretty Picture (Cezar Bononi & Peter Avalon) & Ryan Nemeth vs. Aaron Solow, Brick Aldridge & Dean Alexander
The match begins with Ryan Nemeth and Aaron Solow, Nemeth takes down Solow with a quick fireman’s carry, but Solow comes back with some arm drags. Brick Aldridge is now tagged in by Solow, and he goes for a press slam, but Nemeth escapes and tags in Peter Avalon. Aldrige catches Avalon running straight at him and hits him with a fallaway slam.
Dean Alexander is tagged in, but Avalon gets the best of him until Cezar Bononi gets tagged, and he beats down Alexander. Bononi, Avalon, and Nemeth exchange multiple tags and continue the beatdown on Dean Alexander. Bononi is tagged in, and so is Solow; Solow takes everyone out and in a hot tag and is doing well until Bononi catches him jump from the top rope and then slams down Solow really hard. Nemeth is the legal man. He hits the Rude Awakening and then pins Dean Alexander for the win.
Winners: The Pretty Picture (Cezar Bononi & Peter Avalon) & Ryan Nemeth
Baron Black vs. Lee Johnson
Baron Black and Lee Johnson begin with a tie-up and exchange hold until Johnson hits an arm drag. Then both men exchange heavy slaps after they get into each other’s faces. Johnson brings Baron around from corner to corner and hits him with heavy shots. Lee Johnson sends Baron Black to the outside; Johnson goes to dive over the top rope, but Baron catches him and then hits him and suplex’s him.
Baron Black hits a discus clothesline, then hits the atomic drop and then the backstabber. Black goes for the pin, but Johnson kicks out at two. Black now hits the backbreaker after Johnson gets some shots in. Black now appears to get out of a potential powerbomb and hits an exploding dropkick to Baron Black’s face. Johnson now hits a back elbow, and Johnson hits multiple clotheslines. Johnson hits the Death Valley Driver; he goes for the pin, but Black kicks out at two. Black takes down Johnson with a dragon screw, then puts him into a Texas cloverleaf. Both Black and Johnson exchange strikes and multiple pin attempts until Johnson hits the Blue Thunder Driver and then pins Baron Black to get the win.
Winner: Lee Johnson
Aaron Frye, D3, Jon Cruz & Vary Morales vs. Dark Order (Colt Cabana, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson & Alex Reynolds)
The match begins with Colt Cabana and D3; Alex Reynolds hits a big dropkick on D3 before he tags Aaron Frye. Reynolds tags in Stu Grayson; Grayson gets a few strikes in before tagging in Evil Uno. Uno hits Frye with a big chop and throws Frye into the corner hard. Uno takes his eye of Frye, and he knocks down Uno with a heavy elbow. Now, Jon Cruz and Vary Morales exchange tags while double-teaming. Morales hits Uno with a big DDT before he tags in Jon Cruz.
Evil Uno hits D3 with a big stunner, and Colt Cabana hits a heavy elbow on Cruz and then hits the flying apple. Cabana has Cruz on his shoulders. Cabana now hits the Chicago Skyline and then drags in Cruz to get the pin and the win.
Winners: The Dark Order (Colt Cabana, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson & Alex Reynolds)
Cameron Stewart & Ryzin vs. Varsity Blondes (Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr.)
The match begins with Brian Pillman Jr. and Cameron Stewart; Pillman gets the advantage after hitting Stewart with a shoulder tackle. Pillman hits Stewart with some stiff strikes. Griff Garrison now tags in, and he gets a few shots in on Stewart. Ryzin now tags in, and Pillman are the two legal men. Ryzin hits Pillman with a rough body slam. Ryzin takes control of the action, and he goes to the top rope but misses when he jumps toward Pillman. Pillman makes the hot tag, and Garrison clears the ring, and Garrison finishes it with a heavy and stiff forearm. Garrison gets the pin and the victory.
Winners: Varsity Blondes (Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr.)
Diamante vs. Savannah Thorne
The match begins with both being cocky after faking each other going for tie-ups. Diamante hits a German suplex and then some heavy shots to the face of Savannah Thorne. Diamante throws some elbows and then hits a dropkick to the head of Savannah Thorne. Diamante goes for the pin, but Thorne kicks out at two; Thornes comes back with some shots until Diamante kicks her in the gut. Diamante hits some short-arm clotheslines. Diamante hits a stunner and then the Code Red. Diamante goes for the pin and gets the win.
Winner: Diamante
Fuego Del Sol vs. QT Marshall (w/ Nick Comoroto)
Fuego Del Sol and QT Marshall stare down at each other. Marshall slaps Del Sol hard in the face and then hits Del Sol with a big heavy shot to the face. Marshall then hits Del Sol with a big clothesline, but Del Sol hits some dropkicks on Marshall. Del Sol tells the crowd he is going for the tornado DDT, but Marshall stops and hits a big power slam. Marshall throws Del Sol to the ropes and hits a big clothesline.
Marshall attempts to take the mask off of Del Sol but stops and clubs Del Sol. Del Sol goes for another DDT, but Marshall catches him, throws Del Sol up, and hits him with a big uppercut. Marshall has Del Sol hits a hurricanrana on Marshall. Del Sol now gives Marshall multiple strikes; however, Marshall comes back with some of his own.
DelSol hits a big dropkick; Marshall hits backbreaker and flatliner combo. Marshall then hits the Diamond Cutter, but Del Sol escapes. Del Sol comes back with a splash, Del Sol hits the tornado DDT, but Marshall’s momentum took him to the outside. This allows Marshall enough time to recover, and Marshall catches Del Sol with two Diamond Cutters out of nowhere.
Winner: QT Marshall (w/ Nick Comoroto)
Kip Sabian (w/ Penelope Ford) vs. Carlie Bravo (w/ Captain Shawn Dean)
Kip Sabian takes down Carlie Bravo with an arm drag to start the match. Sabian and Bravo exchange a few strikes but Sabian reverses most of the moves, and Bravo hits a big dropkick on Sabian. Bravo has Sabian run the ropes, but Sabian takes him down with two shotgun dropkicks.
Sabian is now striking Bravo with multiple kicks to the abdomen. Sabian now throws Bravo into the corner turnbuckle. Bravo ducks from Sabian, which irritates Sabian, and he comes back with some more stiff strikes, and then he hits Bravo with the PK. Bravo is down, but Sabian is showboating, and this allows Bravo to make a small comeback. Sabian nails Bravo with a corkscrew to get the pin and victory.
Winner: Kip Sabian (w/ Penelope Ford)
Abadon vs. Katalina Perez
The match begins with Abadon with a big heavy punch to Katalina Perez and then hits her with double knees in the corner. Abadon now delivers a release German suplex. Perez escapes the ring to avoid Abadon, but it does not work. Abadon throws Perez back in the ring, Perez comes back and clothesline Abadon, but this does not stop Abadon, and Abadon slams her down and then picks her up and hits the Cemetery Drive to get the pin and the win.
Winner: Abadon
Sonny Kiss & Joey Janela vs. Proud & Powerful (Santana and Ortiz)
The match begins with Ortiz going right after Sonny Kiss and Santana goes right after Joey Janela. Sonny Kiss hits Ortiz with the Kiss Missile, and then she hits Santana with a dropkick. Ortiz recovers quickly, and he throws some heavy strikes and hits the Three Amigos. Ortiz goes for the pin, but Kiss kicks out at two. Ortiz lifts Kiss and stretches kiss out, and then Santana has Kiss in an abdominal stretch. Santana and Ortiz keep having things going their way and are getting multiple strikes in on Sonny Kiss.
Oritz hits another suplex, but Sonny keeps coming back. Sonny goes for the tag, but Janela is still trying to recover and make it back to the corner. Ortiz grabs Kiss and hits another slam. Kiss hits a flatliner after escaping Santana, who was just tagged in. Janela makes it back to his corner, and Kiss makes the hot tag; Janela clears the ring and takes out both Santana and Ortiz. Sonny Kiss is tagged in and hits Ortiz with a reverse DDT. Ortiz and Santana hit the neckbreaker and backbreaker combo. They go to pin Kiss, but Janela breaks it up. Ortiz picks up Kiss and throws Janela into Kiss, and then he hits the Death Valley Driver and gets the victory for the win.
Winners: Santana and Ortiz
They end the show by previewing a few of the matches for the upcoming AEW Dynamite.
