AEW Battle Of The Belts IV (10/7/2022) Live Coverage.

– Excalibur, Jim Ross & ROH Champion Chris Jericho welcomed the audience to the broadcast before quickly transitioning to the opening match.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship.

PAC (c) vs. Trent Beretta.

The two laid in the strikes on each other before Trent hit a rolling elbow on PAC, sending him to the outside. Trent hit a springboard cross-body on PAC to the outside. Trent hit a body slam on PAC on the floor before sending them back in the ring. Back in the ring, Trent laid in the punches on PAC before sending him to the outside with a running dropkick. Trent hit a spear on PAC onto the ring floor before sending him back in the ring. Back in the ring, Trent hit a running knee strike on PAC for a near fall. Trent & PAC got to the outside but PAC caught him with a Thrust kick on the head. PAC moved the time keeper’s table, but Trent placed PAC on the table. Trent tried to hit a splash on PAC onto the table, but PAC moved to the other side of the ring, but Trent caught him with a sliding dropkick. Back in the ring, PAC hit a Superplex on Trent. PAC regained his footing after Trent dominated the early proceedings, laying his leg on Trent’s head in the middle rope. Trent tossed PAC on the corner. Trent hit a German Suplex & a half-and-half suplex on PAC before hitting a Tornado DDT on PAC for a near fall. Trent launched PAC into the turnbuckle before catching him with a lariat off the rebound. Trent hit a Pull-Up Piledriver on PAC for a near fall. The two got on the ramp, but PAC hit a Brainbuster off the ramp onto the time keeper’s table on the outside, with Trent’s neck landing on the legs of the table and PAC bleeding from his back after the table bump. PAC got back in the ring and attempted the Black Arrow, but Trent lifted his knees to block the move. Trent for another spear, but PAC caught him with a knee strike. Trent got PAC in an Inside Cradle for a near fall. PAC got to the top rope, but Trent pushed him into the turnbuckle handle. Trent climbed to the top rope and hit an Avalanche Half-and-half Suplex on PAC for a near fall. Trent went for his finisher, but PAC caught Trent in the Brutalizer, but Trent managed to break the hold with a rope break. Trent went for a deadlift Back suplex, but PAC hit Trent in the forehead with a hammer for the pinfall win.

Winner & Still AEW All-Atlantic Champion: PAC (c).

– Orange Cassidy attacked PAC after the match before being separated by security guards.

– Matt Meynard, Angelo Parker & ROH Champion Chris Jericho were interviewed backstage by Tony Schiavone before saying that they were disappointed with ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia. Jericho said that he will dishonor the ROH Legacy as the Lionheart on his match against Bryan Danielson on AEW Dynamite. 

– Claudio Castagnoli cut a pre-recorded promo, saying that he calls next against whoever wins the match between Bryan Danielson & ROH Champion Chris Jericho.

TBS Championship.

Willow Nightingale vs. Jade Cargill (c) (w/ Leila Grey & Kiera Hogan).

The two began the match locking up before Cargill leaned WIllow into the corner. Willow leaned Cargill in the corner before the two exchanged words. Jade hit a kick on Willow’s abdomen before she tossed her on the corner. Jade hit a snap-mare on Willow but Willow responded with a Shotgun Dropkick& a corner splash for a near fall. Willow hit a  Tope Suicida on Hogan & Grey, but Jade hit a Wheelbarrow on Willow onto the stairs. Back in the ring, Jade hit a snap suplex on Willow before doing a kip-up. Jade stomped Willow’s head before hitting an uppercut on Willow. Jade got Willow in a chin lock before slamming her into the mat. Back from the break, Jade was doing push-ups, but Willow caught her with two vicious lariats, the Tijeras, a knife-edge chop, a cannonball, and a middle rope shotgun dropkick on Cargill for a near fall. Jade went for the Pump Kick, but Willow evaded and attempted the Tijeras again, but Cargill hit a face slam on Willow followed by the Jaded for the pinfall win.

Winner: Jade Cargill (w/ Leila Grey & Kiera Hogan).

– After the match, Nyla Rose stole the TBS Championship and ran out of the arena after Vickie Guerrero distracted Jade Cargill, Kiera Hogan & Leila Grey.

– Matt Hardy, Ethan Page & Stokely Hathaway were interviewed backstage by Lexi Nair. Hathaway & Page accused Hardy of “contract tampering”, to which Hardy responded by saying that he would DELETE THEM if they continue to be in his business. 

– FTW Champion Hook was interviewed backstage by Lexi Nair regarding the letter he got from the Trustbusters, but Hook refused to answer questions and tore the letter before walking out.

– AEW Interim Women’s Champion Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida cut a promo backstage, saying that they will beat Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter on AEW Dynamite.

ROH Tag Team Championship.

FTR (c) (Dax Hardwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. Bishop Kaun & Toa Linoa (w/ Prince Nana).

Dax & Kaun began the match locking up before Kaun leaned Dax into the corner. Dax got Kaun in a wrist lock before hitting a shoulder tackle on Dax. Dax went for a hip toss on Kaun, but Kaun reversed it into a short-hand lariat on Dax. Dax hit chops on Kaun before hitting a neck breaker on Kaun. Dax & Cash double-teamed Toa Liona before sending him outside. Dax hit a snap suplex on Kaun before dumping Cash into Kaun with a leg drop for a near fall. Kaun hit a dropkick on Cash before tagging in Linoa. Linoa hit a bodyslam and a running diving headbutt on Cash. Toa Liona laid in the strikes on Cash before locking in a nerve hold on Cash. Cash went for a sunset flip, but Linoa turned it into a Banzai Drop. Toa hit a spinning uranage on Cash for Kaun to get a near fall on Cash. Linoa tossed Cash into the barricade and attempted to spear him, but Cash evaded and made Linoa launch himself face-first into the barricade. Kaun hit the Air Raid Crash on Cash for a near fall. Kaun tossed Cash out of the ring, which allowed Prince Nana to stomp him down while the referee was distracted. Back in the ring, Linoa tagged back in and slammed Cash’s face onto the mat before choking him with the middle rope. Kaun tagged back in and locked in a Guillotine Choke on Cash. Cash tried to tag in while on the choke, but Kaun tossed Cash onto the other side of the ring before locking in the front-face lock once again. Cash broke the hold and evaded Linoa’s attempt for a corner splash. Cash crawled under Kaun before tagging in Dax, who laid in the punches on Kaun but was caught with a vicious Pounce & a wicked Pop-Up Samoan Drop on Dax for a near fall. Linoa caught Dax off the crossbody, but Cash hit a shotgun dropkick on Linoa for a near fall. Dax punched Kaun before tagging in Cash. Dax & Cash hit a double Draping DDT on Linoa. Cash tried to kick Linoa out of the ring, but Kaun caught him with a Gut Buster for a near fall. Dax & Chas hit an assisted Piledriver on Kaun, but Linoa separated them. Dax & Cash laid in the strikes on Linoa, but Linoa dropped them. FTR hit the Big Rig on Linoa, but Kaun caught Cash with a forearm strike. Prince Nana tried to interfere in the match, but Dax tossed Kaun onto Nana before getting Kaun in a Backslide for the pinfall win. 

Winners: FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Hardwood).

– Brian Cage & Gates of Agony attacked FTR after the match, but TNT Champion Wardlow & Samoa Joe came. in to make the save for FTR. Samoa Joe, Wardlow & FTR stood tall on the ring to end the broadcast.
