AEW Applies To Trademark ‘Varsity Athletes’

AEW officially applies for a trademark. 

On October 7, AEW applied to trademark “Varsity Athletes” for entertainment services. On the October 7 episode of AEW Dynamite, Mark Sterling announced that he had a copyright on “Varsity” and would prevent the Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr) from using the name. 

He then introduced Josh Woods & Tony Nese at the Varsity Athletes.

Mark For: VARSITY ATHLETES trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a a group or individual wrestlers; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a a group or individual wrestlers.
