Adam Pearce Wants Fans To Support 205 Live No Matter Which Day The Show Airs
This past week, 205 Live moved back to Tuesday nights following SmackDown Live. The show aired live on Tuesday after SmackDown from November 2016 to September 2018. However, in September 2018, the show began taping prior to SmackDown and airing on Wednesdays ahead of NXT.
205 Live has always had to battle against the crowd, most of whom either arrive late or leave early on Tuesday nights. No matter when the show is recorded, WWE producer Adam Pearce believes fans should still support the brand.
Guys, you could put this crew on at 2am in a ghost town parking lot every other Thursday and they’d STILL kill it. #205Live pic.twitter.com/C8iVY1CGjN

Point is: The show takes place and airs when it does. I personally would love to see a little support for the crew that brings it to life as opposed to the stream of negativity about when it’s seen…con’t.

…And this notion of “they deserve better”. This crew gets to ply their trade in arenas every week. Hone their craft. Pay their dues. Are some crowds better/more knowledgeable/more enthusiastic than others? Of course. …Con’t.

…Are said crowds generally hungrier for action earlier in the night when they haven’t already seen their favorites? Of course. None of that changes that this crew gets to perform LIVE every week on the WWE Network on a show specifically designed to highlight them…. con’t.

…And that’s an INCREDIBLE opportunity. An opportunity to grow. Make a name. Build a brand. A legacy. And when the time hopefully comes to make a jump to Raw or SmackDown, these guys will be able to do it seamlessly. They’re ready. …con’t.

…They don’t have to make big adjustments. They’re in the arenas every week. In some ways, it’s “old hat”. Comfortable. Easy to transition. Look at Ali. Slid in and made instant impact. And did so doing what this crew does every week. …con’t.

…Rambling aside, I’m saying this: Maybe the scheduling circumstances aren’t “perfect”. So what. Nothing in life is. We put one foot in front of the other regardless of what time it is. And always trying to put our best foot forward. …con’t.

…And we will keep on keeping on. Day by day, brick by brick, whenever we’re given the opportunity to do it. After all, we’re not entitled to opportunity. We earn it. Day by day, brick by brick. And we hope you’ll continue to watch us lay a foundation. —
