Adam Page Lies About His Injury Status, Attacks Swerve Strickland With Crutch On 2/28 AEW Dynamite
‘Hangman’ Adam Page will able to compete at AEW Revolution.
On the February 28 episode of AEW Dynamite, Page addressed his status for the pay-per-view after seemingly hurting his ankle on the February 21 episode of the show. The ‘Hangman’ started off his promo by talking about how winning the AEW World Championship was his main goal when AEW was founded in 2019. Page then revealed that he won’t be able to compete for that very title at Revolution.
Strickland came out next and detailed his ongoing feud with Page, even admitting that he might have crossed the line on one or two occasions. Strickland also stated that he didn’t expect Page to get injured before noting that it was destiny. Strickland said that his destiny is to win the AEW World Championship.
The current champion, Samoa Joe, made his way out next and criticized both Strickland and Page for being too focused on one another to realize who exactly he is. Page’s announcement didn’t bother Joe, as he stated that he’ll be retaining the title at the pay-per-view no matter what.
Strickland turned his attention to Joe and said that he’s going to take the world title from him and send him back to commentary, where he’ll wear a poncho. Joe famously wore a poncho while doing commentary for WrestleMania 37.
The segment came to a screeching hault when Page decked Strickland with his crutch, seemingly revealing that he had been lieing about his injury. Commentary played up the fact that Page was lieing, making it seem like the three way championship match was still set for Revolution.
Hear it straight from the Cowboy’s mouth.
