Adam Copeland vs. Daniel Garcia In AEW TNT Title #1 Contender Match Set For 2/14 AEW Dynamite
Adam Copeland is once again prepared to step inside the squared circle with one of AEW’s young stars in order to rightfully earn his match against Christian Cage for the TNT Championship.
Adam Copeland is currently ranked #3 in the AEW Rankings released at the end of January 2024. On the February 10 AEW Collision, Copeland explained why he is continuing to choose Christian Cage as the champion he wants to challenge. While he does say he will one day look forward to challenging Eddie Kingston, all of the other champions currently have challengers for AEW Revolution.
Before he could officially declare that he was challenging Christian Cage, Daniel Garcia interrupted him. Garcia had picked up a win earlier in the night against Shane Taylor and has been on a hot streak, including a victory over Christian Cage and The Patriarchy (Nick Wayne & Killswitch) that he earned alongside FTR’s Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler on the February 3 episode of AEW Collision.
Adam Copeland admitted that he respected Garcia and offered to face him in a match on the February 14 episode of AEW Dynamite and said that the winner of the match would go on to challenge Christian Cage. Garcia agreed and the match was quickly made official by Tony Khan.
Before he let Garcia leave, Copeland made it clear that Garcia was coming to defeat him and in effect, take food off of his family’s table so Copeland was going to have to “beat his ass” on Wednesday night.
