It’s been a busy week for both Cole and the NXT brand in general. Several NXT stars took over SmackDown on November 1 in the wake of several WWE stars not being to make the trip to Buffalo, New York from Saudi Arabia in time for the show. On that episode of SmackDown, Cole retained his NXT Championship with a win against Daniel Bryan.
Cole also appeared on the November 4 episode of Raw, where he faced Seth Rollins in the main event with the NXT Championship also on the line. The match never saw a definitive conclusion as The Undisputed Era attacked Rollins.
The official launch of WWE Backstage on November 5 saw Shawn Michaels and Bray Wyatt make an appearance.
WWE Backstage airs every Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET on FS1.
