The Acclaimed Release A New Music Video, Jay Lethal Challenges Ricky Starks, And More | Fight Size


Here is your post-WWE/AEW fight size update for Friday, January 14, 2022.

WWE SmackDown

– SmackDown began with The Viking Raiders winning a fatal four-way match to become the new number one contender’s for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

– Sami Zayn came out and declared himself for the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble match. He also attempted his own version of Jackass called InZayn, but when he didn’t follow through, Rick Boogs helped him hit his mark.

– After bragging about being a three-time Guinness World Record holder, Natalya was defeated by Aliyah in 3.17 seconds, the fastest victory in WWE history.

Lita came out and said she thinks she has one more run in her. She plans on winning the Royal Rumble and headlining WrestleMania. She was interrupted by Charlotte Flair, and after the two traded insults, Lita laid out The Queen with a Twist of Fate.

– Sheamus picked up a victory over Ricochet in singles action.

– After nearly coming to blows with Sonya Deville, Naomi was granted a Championship Contender’s match next week against Charlotte Flair by WWE Official Adam Pearce.

– After declaring he’d be in the 2022 Royal Rumble match, Kofi Kingston competed against and lost to Madcap Moss.

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins met in the ring for the main event segment just one week after it was announced they would face off at the Royal Rumble. Roman said he wouldn’t have picked Seth as an opponent if he was wanting to face the biggest star possible. Seth then reminded Roman that he created him and can just as easily destroy him. The Usos then tried to attack Seth, but he was able to get away.

AEW Rampage

– In the opening match of the night, Adam Cole was able to score the victory over Trent Beretta.

– A closer look was provided at the rivalry between Thunder Rosa and Mercedes Martinez, with insight from both women.

– Shawn Spears picked up a quick win over Andrew Everett and then addressed his opponent for Dynamite, CM Punk.

– The Acclaimed dropped a new track and music video that took aim at Sting and Darby Allin.

– Leyla Hirsch was not able to get on the same page as Kris Statlander and Red Velvet, allowing Nyla Rose, Penelope Ford, and The Bunny to pick up the victory on this night.

– Jay Lethal came out and challenged Ricky Starks to a match for the FTR Championship.

– Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus defeated Dark Order’s John Silver and Alex Reynolds to retain their AEW World Tag Team Titles.
