AAA TripleMania XXVII Draws Over 1.5 Million Viewers On Azteca 7

Big viewership number for TripleMania.

LuchaCentral reports that AAA TripleMania XXVII drew 1,630,450 viewers and a 2.89 rating on Azteca 7. The number made TripleMania one of the highest-rated shows in Mexican TV this past weekend. AAA’s weekly Friday show on Azteca 7 drew a 0.74 rating with 417,320 viewers. Triplemania was the most-watched sports program of the week and third most-watched cable program. It is estimated that 8.2 million viewers tuned in at some point to watch the show between Azteca 7 and Space. Roughly 50,000 viewers tuned in to watch the show on Twitch between the English and Spanish broadcast.

Meanwhile, CMLL’s Saturday program on Televisa’s Gala TV drew a 0.40 rating with 223,470 viewers and Nacion de Lucha Libre drew a 0.36 rating with 204,890 viewers in only their third week on Imagen TV.

AAA TripleMania XXVII was headlined by a Mask vs. Hair bout between Dr. Wagner Jr and Blue Demon Jr. The event also featured the pro wrestling debut of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez. You can find results from the event by clicking here.
