– The broadcast began a video package highlighting the Women’s Breakout Tournament and Natalya vs Cora Jade from the 5/10/2022 edition of NXT 2.0. Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett welcomed the audience to the broadcast, before the show began with a tag team match, with the team of Solo Sikoa and Cameron Grimes facing off against the team of Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes.
Solo Sikoa & Cameron Grimes vs Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams
The match began with Grimes kicking Hayes out of the ring and hitting a dropkick on Williams. Sikoa hit a senton on Williams before stomping and kicking him. Sikoa slapped Willams before Grimes tagged in. Grimes and Sikoa hit chops and kicks on Williams. Grimes hit a running kick on Williams for a near fall. Williams kicked Grimes, hit him with a shoulder-block. Hayes hit an assisted cross-body for a near fall. Sikao tagged in and hit a running splash to the corner on Williams. Sikoa hit the Hip Attack on WIlliams. Solo wen for the frog splash, but Hayes hit him with a rope-assisted inseguri kick on Sikoa. Williams hit a running neck-breaker on Sikoa. Hayes tagged in and stomped Sikoa. Williams hit Sikao with a dropkick for a near fall. Hayes got Sikoa with a Guillotine. Williams and Hayes continued to work on Sikoa, wearing him down. Hayes hit an elbow drop on Sikoa for a near fall, followed by a Big Boot. Hayes got Sikoa with a headlock, but Sikoa attacked both Hayes and Williams. Hayes hit a leaping elbow drop on Sikoa. Williams tagged in, but Grimes tagged in. Grimes hit forearm strikes on Hayes and Williams before hitting a double Frankensteiner on Williams and Hayes. Grimes hit a crossbody on Hayes. Sikoa tagged in but got kicked by Hayes. Hayes kicked Sikoa. Sikoa hit a Spinning Uranage on Hayes. Grimes hit Williams with the Cave-In, leading the way for Sikoa to hit a frog splash on Hayes for the pinfall win.
Winners: Solo Sikoa & Cameron Grimes.
– NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson) were interviewed backstage, saying that they were terrified. They both burst out laughing, saying that they were not scared of The Creed Brothers.
– There was a video package showing Thea Hail signing with WWE, revealing that she still needed to graduate from High School and that she will be a part of the WWE College Program.
Women’s Breakout Tournament Round One
Lash Legend vs Tatum Paxley
Lash Legend hit a spinning elbow on Paxley for a near fall. Paxley tried to lift Legend with an Electric Chair, but Legend slammed Paxley’s fave to the middle turn-buckle, before slamming Paxley’s leg to the ring post. Paxley went for a sunset flip, but Legend continued to work on Paxley’s leg. Legend got a Brock-Lock on Paxley, but Paxley reversed it with a sunset flip for a near fall. Paxley tried to hit another electric chair, but Legend escaped. Paxley hit a Suplex before hitting a standing cork-screw splash for a near fall. Paxley went for another electric chair, but Legend escaped and hit Paxley with a Pump Kick for the pinfall win.
Winner: Lash Legend.
– Tony D’Angelo was seen backstage, saying that Santos Escobar will have no one to blame but himself after tonight’s match. His Gumbas (Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan) reminisced about causing a bunch of Mob-based violence in his earlier years, before saying that he was the don.
– There was an official announcement of NXT returning to the house show circuit, with tickets being available on 5/20/2022.
– Duke Hudson was backstage saying that he had to take some weeks off, saying that no one can measure up to Duke Hudson. Hudson was interrupted by a returning NXT Champion Bron Breakker, who made his way to the ring.
– Breakker made his way to the ring to cut a promo. Breakker said that Gacy was dumped in the field like trash. Breakker said that, after everything him and Joe Gacy went through, he can kiss his ass. Breakker said that he was going to put him unconscious. Joe Gacy interrupted Breakker, being seen in The Raven’s nest. Breakker said he did not trust Gacy one bit. Gacy said that Breakker was too predictable, saying he has a history of losing his temper. Gacy promised Breakker with a match, saying that Breakker should kicked his ass. Gacy warned Breakker that if he lost control, he will lose the NXT Championship, his most prized possession. Breakker accepted the challenge.
– Indi Hartwell said that she was tired of feeling alone, saying that it was the first time she was flying solo. Indi challenged NXT Women’s Champion, Mandy Rose, to a match.
– Wes Lee was interviewed backstage, were he said that when Xyon Quinn is cleared to compete he knows where. heis. Nathan Frazier challenged Wes Lee. Lee warned Frazier about this, but Frazier was even more convinced.
The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) vs The Creed Brothers (Brutus Creed & Julius Creed) (w/ Roderick Strong & Damon Kemp).
The match began with Julius attacking both Raiders. The Creeds hit double shoulder blocks on Ivar. Erik and Julius locked up, but Erik hit a forearm strike on Julius. The Raiders hit forearm strikes on Julius. Ivar hit a bodyslam on Julius for a near fall. Erik had an ankle lock on Julius before tagging in Ivar. Ivar hit a clothesline for a near fall. . Brutus did a take down on Ivar. Brutus hit a German Suplex on Erik, before lifting Ivar to the top rope. Julius hit a leaping drop kick on Ivar before Brutus hit. cannonball on the outside on both Viking Raiders before the commercial break. Julius had a modified choke on Erik before dumping Brutus onto Erik for a near fall. Erik hit elbow strikes on both Creed Brothers. Ivar tagged in and hit a shoulder block, a corner splash and a lariat on Julius. Ivar hit a series of elbows strikes on Julius, followed by a leg senton for a near fall. Creed Brothers hit a leaping V-Trigger-Death valley Driver combination for a near fall. Ivar hit a seated bomb on Julius. Ivar hit an avalanche World Strongest Slam for a near fall. Erik hit a German suplex on Brutus. Julius hit a German Suplex on Erik. Ivar went for a Viking Splash, but Julius evade and got Ivar in La Casita for a near fall. Creed Brothers and Viking Raiders exchanged strikes, with Erik hitting a v-Trigger on Brutus. Julius tossed Roderick Strong to the outside. Raiders hit the double powerbomb on The Creed Brothers for the pinfall win.
Winners: The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar).
– Santos Escobar and Legado Del Fantasma were backstage, saying tony D’Angelo wanted to be like him. Escobar said that Legado were not going to be on ringside, to which Cruz Del Toro was irrate about because D’Angelo kidnapped him on the previous edition of NXT. Elektra Lopez said that emotions should not get in the way of business.
– Grayson Waller and Tiffany Stratton were backstage, with Stratton asking him to take care of Andre Chase. Waller told Stratton to keep her eye on the match.
– Bron Breakker was interviewed in the NXT Parking lot, before Duke Hudson interrupted Breakker for earlier in the night. Breakker challenged Hudson, to which he accepted for the 5/24/2022 NXT.
Andre Chase (w/ Bohdi Hayward) vs Grayson Waller.
The match began with Waller hitting a back elbow on Chase. Waller hit an elbow strike in the head. Chase hit a neck breaker on Chase. Chase hit a series of forearm strikes, but Waller hit a big boot on Chase. Waller hit a suplex on Chase for a near fall.Waller got Chase in a guillotine. Chase hit a top-rope sunset flip for a near fall, but Waller hit Chase with the Booker T kick for near fall. Chase catapulted Waller, followed by a series of elbow strikes and a Russian Leg Sweep. Waller punched Chase. Chase launched Waller to the outside, but Waller landed on Hayward outside. After checking into Hayward, Chase got hit with the rolling Stunner for the pinfall win.
Winner: Grayson Waller.
– NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions & NXT Women’s Champion Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin) were seen complaining that everyone wanted a shot at the championships. Mandy Rose said that they need to put respect on Toxic Attration, and it was going to start with Indi Hartwell.
– Backstage, Roderick Strong said that The Creed Brothers that they should thank him for getting the, the tag team match. Pretty Deadly made fun of Strong for the missteps of Creed Brothers, which Strong refuted by challenging Pretty Deadly to a tag team match for the 5/24/2022 edition of NXT.
Women’s Breakout Tournament Round One.
Roxanne Perez vs Kiana James
Perez and James locked up, with James tossing Perez to the ground. James hit a shoulder block on Perez. Perez and James interchanged cartwheels before Perez hit a series of arm drags and a missile dropkick for a near fall. James hit a back-breaker on Perez for a 1-count kick out. James got a knee-assisted stretch on Perez, but Perez reversed it for a near fall. James hit a spear on Perez in the corner. James went for a Boston Crab, but Perez turned James around. James got the Boston Crab on Perez, but Perez reversed it with a pinfall attempt. James reversed a crucifix bomb to a back-breaker for a near fall. Perez hit the Tijeras on James. Perez and James exchanged strikes before Perez got a Thesz Press on James. Perez hit a Russian Leg Sweep for a near fall. James hit Perez with a side slam for a near fall. Perez hit the Code Rok from out of nowhere for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Roxanne Perez.
– Edris Enofe and Malik Blade made fun of Santos Escobar and Tony D’Angelo, but Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan interrupted their act to challenge them to a match for the 5/24/2022 edition of NXT 2.0.
– Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez celebrated Perez’s win, with Perez saying Jade was the one that brought her into NXT. Elektra Lopez interrupted both, saying that Perez was going to lose to Legend. Lopez will face Alba Fyre (formerly known as Kay Lee Ray) on the 5/24/2022 edition of NXT 2.0.
Nathan Frazier vs Wes Lee.
The match began with Frazier and Lee locking up, with Frazier getting Lee in a headlock. Lee went for an arm drag, but Frazier blocked it. Frazier and Lee exchanged arm drags before staring each other down. The crowd was electric for the opening exchange. Lee tossed Frazier outside before going for a spring rope cross body on Frazier. Lee got Frazier to the ring, but Frazier surprised him with a Suicide Dive. Lee hit an inseguri kick and a german suplex for a near fall. Lee hit an elbow strike on Frazier, but Frazier caught him with an inseguri kick of his own. Frazier went for a SUperplex, but Lee reversed it with a avalanche cross body for a near fall. Frazier hit a superkick on Lee. Frazier went for a Phoenix Splash, but Lee evaded. Lee and Frazier hit double-cross bodies on each other. Von Wagner got to the ring to attack Frazier, ending the match in a Disqualification. Wagner hit a big boot on Lee, followed by tossing Wes lee onto the announcer’s table outside. The crowd chanted loud boos for the end of the segment, justifiably so.
– Backstage, Sanga gave props to Wes Lee and Nathan Frazier for the match, despite the fact that Von Wagner interrupted. Lee said that he would not stand for the disrespect, challenging Sanga. Sanga accepted but said that he does not roll like Wagner.
Winner: Nathan Frazier (via DQ).
Santos Escobar (w/ Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan) vs Santos Escobar.
The match began with Escobar and D’Angelo locking up, with D’Angelo punching Escobar in the abdomen. Escoar got a guillotine on D’Angelo, transitioned into a waste lock before D’Angelo got a rope break. Escobar got a wrist lock on D’Angelo, but D’angelo hit a series of punches on Escobar. D’Angelo hit a rope-assisted neck breaker on Escobar. D’Angelo hit a running neck breaker on Escobar, followed by a CRAVAT on Escobar. Escobar hit an inseguri kick on D’Angelo, which sent him to the outside. Escobar went for a Tope Suicida, but Tony caught Escobar with a forearm strike. D’Angelo hit a series of punches on Escobar before cornering Escobar. Escobar hit a series of punches on D’Angelo. D’Angelo caught a tijeras attempt from Escobar into a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. D’Angelo got a brutalizer on Escobar, transitioning into a Dragon Sleeper for a near fall. D’Angelo hit a series of punches to the stomach of Escobar, but Escobar caught him with two drop kicks. Escobar finally hit the Tope Suicida on D’Angelo before slamming D’Angelo onto the stairs. Escobar hit a spring-rope senton on D’Angelo. Escobar hot an arm-lock on D’Angelo, but D’Angelo got the rope break. Escobar hit a knee-strike on D’Angelo, followed by a code breaker to the arm of D’Angelo for a near fall. D’Angelo hit a lariat and three Belly-to-Belly suplexes on Escobar. Santos smacked D’Angelo. Both were on the top rope before Santos hit a Avalanche Franskensteiner on D’Angelo. D’Angelo went for his pipe, but Del Cruz came in and stole it from him. Escobar hit D’Angelo with a Brass-knuck punch on D’Angelo for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Santos Escobar.
– Joe Gacy said that Breakker will not be able to control his anger, saying that his lack of control will give him full control of the world and NXT. Gacy laughed like a maniac to end the show.
