Court Bauer Announces Live Crowds Will Return To MLW Shows Beginning On July 10

The wait is over. It is now known that the next season of Major League Wrestling will have live crowds in attendance.

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that MLW will be taking their brand to VICE TV beginning this spring and now, the next stage of their expansion amid the global pandemic will feature live audiences beginning with a show in July at the former home of Extreme Championship Wrestling.

During tonight’s episode of MLW FUSION, Court Bauer was interviewed by Alicia Atout where he confirmed that on Saturday, July 10, Major League Wrestling will open their doors to audiences once again as they head to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the 2300 Arena.

It was also confirmed that May 5 will be the end of the current season of MLW programming and the next time they return, they will return with a live audience.

The show on May 5 will be headlined by an MLW Middleweight Championship match featuring Lio Rush defending his championship against Myron Reed. Reed is the man that Rush defeated for the gold and after settling his business with CONTRA Unit, Myron Reed now wants his mandatory championship rematch.

Speaking with WrestlingInc, Court Bauer confirmed that MLW will begin airing on VICE on May 1.
“MLW’s presence will hit in May,” Bauer said. “We’re going to be putting that out, the exact date, very soon…you know what? F**k it; it’s May 1. That’s when you’re first going to see MLW. This isn’t like new footage, it’s just the library so you can see the 2020 stuff.”

Elsewhere in the world of wrestling, Jim Ross has stated that AEW expects for their brand to begin touring once again in July as well. Learn more here.
