Report: WWE Superstar Spectacle To Be Filmed From 1/20 – 1/22 Inside WWE ThunderDome
The latest update on WWE Superstar Spectacle.
WWE recently confirmed that Superstar Spectacle, a special event being taped specifically for the Indian market, will air on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. This is significant because it is the day that India celebrates Republic Day.
While the overall goal of this event is to help launch a localized branch of WWE in India, due to current travel restrictions because of the global pandemic, the taping for this first event will occur in Florida.
While it was previously reported that the taping will take place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, a new report from Sportskeeda reveals that the taping will occur from inside WWE ThunderDome, currently stationed at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. In addition to learning that the taping will occur from inside WWE ThunderDome, this report also states that the event will be taped across three days, starting Wednesday, January 20 and finishing on Friday, January 22. Of course, WWE SmackDown takes place from inside the ThunderDome every Friday night.
It was previously reported that WWE is considering bringing in main roster Superstars for the taping including AJ Styles, Charlotte Flair, The New Day, and Rey Mysterio. Another name that was mentioned to be considered for the tapings is WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. However, due to his recent COVID-19 diagnosis, It is believed that he will miss these tapings.
Although Drew is believed to miss these tapings, he is still scheduled to face Goldberg at the WWE Royal Rumble on January 31st. Learn more about the latest on Drew McIntyre at this link.
