Khamzat Chimaev Wants Title Shot Against Israel Adesanya: “I Am Ready”
Khamzat Chimaev believes he is ready to be UFC middleweight champion.
Chimaev and Israel Adesanya previously had an unpleasant exchange after Adesanya referred to Chimaev as a “the rat lip” fighter. Chimaev, after watching Adesanya destroy Paulo Costa in the main event of UFC 253, believes he is ready for a shot at the UFC middleweight championship. The fighter made the call out to the champion through Twitter.
Borz is ready for the hunt and grab what belongs to him. @stylebender

Adesanya is expected to defend his middleweight title next against Jared Cannonier if Cannonier gets past former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 254. Chimaev’s next fight hasn’t been booked at this time but it is expected to be the headlining bout of a Fight Night card. There has been no response yet from Adesanya as to the challenge laid out to him by Chimaev.
