Reby Hardy Says Matt Is Still In The Hospital With A Concussion After AEW All Out
Reby Hardy provides an update on the condition of her husband following a scary situation that occurred at AEW pretty All Out.
The Broken Rules Match between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara came to an abrupt end at All Out, after a fall from the top of a scissor lift saw Matt Hardy hit his head on the concrete and immediately show signs of a concussion.
Reby Hardy immediately lashed out on Twitter saying that everybody in the building should be ashamed of themselves for allowing her husband to continue and has now provided an update on Matt saying that he is still in the hospital having additional imaging done following a CT scan and “1,000%” has a concussion.
They needed additional imaging done after his CT. He’s still in the hospital. 1000% concussion. Anyone with eyes could have told you that tho.
On the post-show media call, Tony Khan defended his decision to let Matt Hardy continue to compete after conferring with Dr. Sampson.
“The doctor did clear him. Matt did not pressure him and Dr. Sampson would not be pressured into clearing anybody,” said Tony. “He’s pulled people from our shows without hesitation, whether it’s been over something with a blood test or with an injury. He’s really strict about that stuff and that’s why when people have had injuries that he didn’t feel comfortable about, people do in physicality or wrestling with, we never put those people out there. So I never would have gone against the doctor’s decision and most importantly, Matt would not have been able to overrule the doctor’s decision and not with the doctor himself or with me. So that is what happened. The doctor cleared him, which is the first and foremost important thing. Matt also did want to continue, but the doctor cleared him. So at that point when the doctor cleared him to continue, Matt clearly wanted to continue. That’s why we continued.”
Fightful will continue to monitor the story and report any and all updates.
