Ryan Bader Issues Statement On Bellator 244 Loss: I’ll Be “Better Than Ever”
Ryan Bader is licking his wounds following a lopsided defeat to Vadim Nemkov at Bellator 244.
Former two-division Bellator champion Ryan Bader lost the light heavyweight title via second-round TKO to Vadim Nemkov. The week after Friday’s card, Bader addressed the loss on Twitter.
Well not the result we were after but it’s the game we play. I’m all good and appreciate the support! I freaking hate to lose but as always I’ll keep working my ass off. Lost one belt but still have that heavyweight belt on my shoulder and will be better than ever. —-@BellatorMMA pic.twitter.com/k1IbwSsGRf

There is no word yet on what is next for Bader, who remains the Bellator heavyweight champion. He won the title by defeating Fedor Emelianenko in the finals of the Bellator Heavyweight World Grand Prix. Nemkov made history with the win at Bellator 244, as he became the first Russian fighter to win the Bellator light heavyweight strap.
