Report: Klidson Abreu Cut By The UFC
It would appear that Klidson Abreu’s time with the UFC has come to an end, as the promotion has reportedly released the fighter from his contract.
Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the news, while also reporting that Abreu found out the news after a USADA official informed the fighter that he no longer was in their testing protocol.
Abreu (15-5-0, 1-3-0 UFC) picked up a single win under the UFC banner, which came over Sam Alvey at UFC Fight Night San Antonio. Abreu did suffer three losses in the UFC, with those coming to the trio of Magomed Ankalaev, Shamil Gamzatov and Jamahal Hill. Abreu will leave the promotion riding a two fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year. Abreu has picked up 10 of his 15 professional MMA victories by way of submission, while another four came by way of KO/TKO.
There is no word yet as to where Abreu will sign with next, but the fighter is free to sign with whatever promotion wants his services.
