Deiveson Figueiredo Decimates Joseph Benavidez, Wins UFC Flyweight Title At UFC Fight Island 2
There is a new ruler in the UFC Flyweight Division as Deiveson Figueiredo needed less than a round to decimate Joseph Benavidez to win the UFC Flyweight Title in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Figueiredo vs. Benavidez II. The newly crowned flyweight champion dropped Benavidez multiple times in the one round affair, before putting him out cold with a rear naked choke.

Figueiredo gains back control on Benavidez and he looks for a rear naked choke, Figueiredo continues going for the rear naked choke and Benavidez continues defending against them. Benavidez scrambles to his feet and Figueiredo holds him against the cage wall before separating, Benavidez pops a swinging Figueiredo with a counter left hook. Figueiredo drops Benavidez with a right hook and Benavidez gets back up, Benavidez then hits Figueiredo with a right to the midsection. Figueiredo drops Benavidez with another right and he pounces on him with more strikes while gaining the full mount. Figueiredo gains back control and he applies a rear naked choke to put Benavidez out cold.
