Conor McGregor Retires From MMA Again
In a move that surely won’t stick, Conor McGregor has retired again.
The former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight Champion announced his latest retirement Sunday morning following UFC 250. He’d not fought since beating Donald Cerrone earlier this year, but question marks had surrounded his future.
Hey guys I’ve decided to retire from fighting.
Thank you all for the amazing memories! What a ride it’s been!

This is far from the first time McGregor has retired. He did it in April 2016 with his now infamous “thanks for the cheese” tweet.
I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.

McGregor then did it again in 2019, before ultimately returning to the cage this year.
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.

If this is it for McGregor — and it isn’t — he’ll retire with a 22-4 record, and a unique distinction of owning wins across three UFC divisions.
