Anderson Silva Calls For A Fight Against Conor McGregor, Who Accepts
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is ranked number one on the G.O.A.T. list compiled by former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor, who sits at number two on his list.
Silva appreciates the respect shown by McGregor and has now called out McGregor for a fight, which Silva did via Instagram:
The former middleweight champion wants the potential fight to be held at a catchweight of 176 pounds, which would be the lightest that Silva has fought at in the UFC and the heaviest that McGregor has fought at in the UFC. Silva is coming off of knee surgery suffered after a loss to Jared Cannonier at UFC 237, while McGregor is coming off of a victory over Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246.
A short time after Silva made the challenge, it would be accepted by McGregor through Twitter:
I accept. https://t.co/HYqF132EvZ
