US President Donald Trump is set to participate in a phone call at noon with major sports commissioners, including WWE’s Vince McMahon and UFC’s Dana White. Adam Silver (NBA), Rob Manfred (MLB), Roger Goodell (NFL), Gary Bettman (NHL), and other league commissioners will also be on the call.
The nature of the call is unknown.
Most sports, including the NBA, NHL, and MLB have all suspended its seasons during the coronavirus pandemic. The NFL has said they intend to start their season on time. WWE has shifted events to the Performance Center with essential personnel only and no live audience. WWE is set to air two nights of WrestleMania 36 on Saturday and Sunday. The event was taped at the Performance Center and other locations.
UFC held an event in Brazil with no live audience on March 14 but has canceled three events since then. Dana White has been adamant that UFC 249, scheduled for April 18, will be held in some capacity.
