Report: Vitor Belfort May Retire After UFC 204
Dan Henderson may not be the only fighter to hang up the gloves at UFC 204.
According to a report from Breno Massena, the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort could be headed towards retirement after his co-main event bout tonight at UFC 204.
Translated, the tweet says “According to sources, Vitor Belfort retires today after his fight at UFC 204.”
Belfort hasn't had the easiest go of it since TRT was banned by the UFC, going 1-2 since then. His one victory was against a 45-year old Dan Henderson. The 39-year old Belfort doesn't have a victory over anyone other than Henderson in over three years.
When Fightful.com asked around, we were told that Belfort may be leveraging for a new contract.
